It follows Macaque.
Although reluctantly, Macaque did do his part in her plan. But he also helped the ones trying to stop her.
So. After giving Macaque his rightful punishment. They made a deal. They made a deal with a sweet promise tied to it all.
The ability to travel the multiverse and bring a single soul with him.
Macaque was never going to return here; I mean nothing he knew is left. He no longer belongs to this new world.
But what about that soul ? Who did he choose ??
Funny enough, he picked Syntax. Did they ever speak to each other before ? Nope. The most that happened was a few quick glances, but that was it.
LBD did not make it easy at all, making him fetch things for one last time. But once that was done. Macaque got his freedom, a not so friendly soul, and the ability to run from everything.
And he did run.
Leaving him to bleed out in a snowstorm.
