SO CLOSE! ok this one is like baby’s second homestuck ship. my big feelings on this ship is largely that they are silly together EXCEPT FOR how john is such a total douchebag lil shit, and jade is very short tempered herself. not only would they wildly hyper fixate on each other, holding hands and cuddling everywhere (not necessarily sloppy make outs.) they’d get into wild arguments (even in public) that’d resolve with them both choosing to drop the subject without compromising. bc they’re both avoidant, worse than the strilondes.

i say "platonic" because jade, unlike john, understands quadrants much to her chagrin. she doesn’t feel a particular way about john, but she has totally had thoughts about "what if we were hatched trolls" and has absolutely no idea whether she'd pity him or be pale for him.

Okay so to the theory: Is Jake English Actually British or English?   Well, let’s start with some stuff we know about all the kids. All of them live in America or close too it! The only ones who don’t live in America are Jade and Jake. They live on an island in the Pacific Ocean as said here:

(Their island being under the blue dot) So what I’m thinking is that they’re either Australian or New Zealanders!

Not to mention all of the words Jake uses that can also be considered Australian instead of English that I’m not going to bother to mention because just finding that shit was hard enough. I couldn’t find what said it but I believe there was a post somewhere about Jade and Jake not being American? Feel free to add on what you think and please recognize that even if this isn’t canon, I’m most likely going to use it as a headcanon for both Jake and Jade! And that’s just a theory after all, there’s no point in arguing about it. *ALSO IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN ESTABLISHED JUST LET ME KNOW SO I CAN DELETE THIS POST AND SAVE MYSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT!  EDIT: SO APPARENTLY MOST ISLANDS AROUND NEW ZEALAND ARE ALSO VOLCANIC!  According to Wikipedia 14/29 of the islands around New Zealand have volcanoes.
