Florence: Gilbert, is that you?
Gilbert: Florrie! Long time no see, how's it going? Probably not very well if you're at a bar alone at midnight, eh?
Florence: What? It's the weekend, and I just came for a junk food dinner, you can't cook every single day.
Toby: Sorry to interrupt ma'am, but our symbolic diner has closed two hours ago, we can't serve food this late in the night. The cooks have gone home.
Florence: Ah, bummer! ... Anyway, Gilbert, I'm the one who should be asking you that. Aren't you like married now?
Gilbert: Not married, just living together. Do you think if I'd gotten married I wouldn't have invited you to my wedding?
Florence: What for? So I can witness another poor woman fall hard for your promises in the flesh?
Many years ago, Florence and Gilbert met in Bluewater Village as busy and ambitious business newbies. They had some chemistry, but Gilbert "didn't have time" for a serious relationship, so their relationship remained on a casual dating level. Florence really liked Gilbert though, and was heartbroken when she found out she wasn't his only one by far. Although she was hurt, her pride didn't let her show bitterness, and she remained good friends with him for years after they cut the romantic ties completely. That faded away with time, and for the past couple of years, they've barely talked and only saw each other when they accidentally bumped into each other in the Village.
Gilbert: Ah, come on now, relax. Why don't we drink something together now that we're here?
Florence: No thanks. It's been nice to chat, but I think it's time I leave now.
Gilbert: Come on Florrie, just one shot, for old times' sake...
Florence: Only if you promise you won't call me that again.
Florence quickly downed the shot Gilbert bought her, answered a few of his questions in half-sentences, then got her coat and rushed to leave. She walked all the way home. "I can't believe I ever used to want to be with this man."
