Gill and I enjoyed Jack the Giant Slayer, this take on the legendary tale of Jack and the Beanstalk is supebly made with an interesting take on the story. A great Sunday afternoon movie. Neil rating 6 out 10

Esta película nos narra la historia de una antigua guerra entre gigantes y humanos, donde los humanos ganaron, pero, la guerra volverá a ocurrir cuando un joven granjero, sin ser consciente de ello, abre una puerta hacia el mundo de los gigantes por medio de unos frijoles mágicos. Los gigantes querrán reclamar la tierra que alguna vez perdieron, pero, el joven Jack junto con varios guerreros, lucharan para poder defender a su pueblo y por el amor de una valiente princesa, teniendo así una batalla colosal entre gigantes y humanos.

I have always enjoyed folklore & tales that capture one’s imagination (Who doesn’t love a good story around campfire?). Although not as popular as other stories - I always found “Jack and The Beanstalk” to be a classic (and one of my personal favorites). The film “Jack The Giant Slayer” totally peaked my imaginative interest due to it’s exploration into such a fantastic notion. Granted, the film itself is so very Hollywood (if you know what I mean), however, conceptually-speaking - I think there are elements of this particular story that do have something to offer (Especially for anyone who loves Fantasy & Adventure amidst folklore).
