The twelve-year-old walked out of the abandoned building only to run into someone else.

Everything’d been a bit fuzzy to begin with. It didn’t help that it felt like his helm was swimming. Might as well take Wheeljack’s advice and sit on the nearby chair.

“You sound WAY too casual about that.” A Dimorphodon head poked up out of hiding, somehow managing a mildly horrified expression despite lacking the articulation to do so. “Does this happen a lot??”

There was a soft whine from Aegis as he watched his energon spilling out from his side.  He was usually so careful, stayed out of the way when fighting started and helped the other field medics where he could.  But at the end of the day, he didn’t have a vehicle mode and he couldn’t move as fast as some of the others when the fighting started.  Looking up to Wheeljack, he reached to hold his arm, frightened of being the one being taken care of this time around.

“You better know what you’re fighting for.”

“Oh, I fell a hundred and twenty feet.” Dragonsbane replied in an oddly casual tone, still trailing a small handful of tiny pine needles in her wake. “I, uh…didn’t land so nicely this time.”
