it’s really deep and like after seeing previous posts about just.. her feeling lost on what a woman is supposed to be like has got me NUTS. and i mean like insane crazy LOCK ME IN AN ASYLUM

no because a few years after her mom left i do see her kind of just waiting until dad wasn’t looking/in the house, and then she’d just play dress up, it feels nice to just let the guard down

no but here’s the thing; i do feel she despises makeup sometimes and will ONLY use it when she feels like it’s needed BUT THATS JUST ME but like at the same time, i can see her kind of just messing with a lipstick thing and testing it, before just going “no, you look naturally nice anyways” as a way to pump herself up and make herself feel GOOD.

i can’t handle change johnny cade, where do i belong johnny cade. he wanted to go somewhere that didn’t have labels force upon you. jsut plain ordinary people. that’s all he wanted, and i’m not saying that johnny is weak or scared, just done, he doesn’t want to be here anymore, he wants to somewhere else where he can live a quiet life without being hurt or told to scram, or hit and belted every time he turns around

like imagine being young, and your parents turned on you quicker than you could think, or that they disliked you from the start, that’s johnny, he doesn’t know where to go and he certainly doesn’t wanna stay in tulsa. he’s got the gang and all but it only does so much, he says so himself that it ain’t the same without your own folks loving you. he was too young to die, he was 16, he had barely been outta tulsa, and i like to think at the hospital, that with some miracle he survives the fire, johnny would think “i wouldnt be able to go anywhere anyways” like cmon hed be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of his life pretty much. and i think so many people overlook that fact that he wanted to get out, that the first time he had been outta tulsa was running to the old abandoned church.

he’s done with the life he was given and he wants more, he has so little he dreams about having just a bit more than what he has, maybe a decent home. maybe when his life began to spiral for the first time, he used to think “i’m good enough, things can change” but now, suddenly, everything is wrong and no matter how hard he tries, he can’t change anything, and being jumped and labeled as a greaser doesnt help it.
