#jackbots

Something fun/silly about Ken that I haven't shared yet is his absolute fascination with inanimate objects, especially robots. When he found out Jack builds bots that move on their own, his mind was blown; he genuinely thinks it's magic.

​Even though Jack cares about his bots, Ken is the only one who actually gives them names and tells them apart. Jack is too stubborn to admit he gets attached, but Ken is super persistent. (Rly love how they're fighting over the name Ernesto here lol, first time sketching them arguing about it!).

​In a few fics that I never published in my Wattpad book, Ken gives Jack a rubber ducky to make his baths more fun—it's his way of caring for him. This escalates absurdly until the house is completely flooded with ducks. It's so dumb, he's supposed to be an evil dragon villain! But it's not just ducks; one day he might see a frog coin purse and obsessively buy a ton of them using Jack's or Chase's credit card lmao.

I’ve always been interested as to why and when Jack built his first ever Jackbot. Maybe he built the first robot for his show and tell when he was in kindergarten (and managed to traumatize everyone in class when the robot exploded and the classroom caught on fire but thankfully no one got hurt. Jack had to transfer school after that though lol)??? It’s so interesting that Jack has created different types of Jackbots and robots with different A.I, sentience level and uses.

I also like to think that Jack has a few favourite Jackbots that he doesn’t deploy for battle and treat them like companions. I headcanon that the first prototype Jackbot he built is his most favourite. <3

Heylin Restart #38-39

The Jackbots are historically about as sturdy as glass marbles in a tissue paper bag, so they’re pretty much out from the get-go.

Pandabubba’s goons are pretty competent from what I can recall, but they’re only human. So depending on what Wu they have, they may be out of the count sooner than anything else. Same for the Black Vipers, they’re also pretty well competent, but only human. So unless there’s a mechanical element to their foe, they’d be limited to whatever means to fight they’d have at their disposal.

Ashley’s bioenhanced kittens may well top out the human competitors, since they seem to be specifically made to be worthy combatants to human foes. Plus domestic cats already being pound for pound the most efficient land predator, so I’ll give them the edge on a properly armed human foe.

Gigi’s plants are pretty formidable, but aside from what they’re capable of under Gigi’s influence, they seem to be limited in what they can do. But they’re at least strong enough to take out any fleshy non-flora opponents.

I’ll give Hannibal’s kudzu zombies the edge on Gigi’s plants, specifically because of how kudzu parasitizes nutrients from anything that’s not itself. It’s strong enough to take out robots, and anything made of organic matter it could infect to add to its numbers, so the humans and enhanced kittens are also out.
