WIP - Game Creatures
(ft. Jack's obsession with Kevin Day.)
Aaron only recalled Marshall’s name because his jersey was splayed out on his lap. He stared down at it, glancing up every few seconds, then his eyes would land on Kevin, and he’d just kinda gaze.
Aaron understood.
It was a right of passage to be starstruck by Kevin.
While the upperclassmen grew to despise him because of his tactless personality, Aaron preferred the Kevin Day that wasn’t as lurid in real life as he was on television.
His awe of Kevin crumbled during the Ferdinand interview last year. It was unsettling and sinister to witness his flawless media training in action after being acquainted with the version of him that never smiled.
But Marshall’s obsession would blow over soon enough– If Kevin’s joyless nature didn’t do it for him, the other facets of his personality would.
Unless Marshall actually liked the star for his game, but Aaron thought that was really bleak.
