#J10 PUBLIC SERVICES STRIKE
This Thursday, 10 July, up to two million people will be out on strike in a coordinated strike action involving six trade unions in the public services. There will be demonstrations and protests up and down the country, including one for the North East region in Newcastle (details below).
These actions will be the next step in the summer of resistance, working towards a TUC demonstration on 18 October in London.
Let’s do all we can to make sure the strikers are supported in our communities, and help to make the demonstrations huge - join the rallies and demonstrations, join your local picket lines and bring along tea and biscuits, anything you can do to support those on strike will make a difference.
If you use social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, etc), why not post messages of support using the hashtag #J10? Share selfies showing why you support the strikes. Post pics taken from picket lines and strike rallies. Or make a solidarity video saying why you back these strike actions.
Send a link to your #J10 message, photo, video, etc, to us at Teesside PA and we’ll make sure to share it on our social media sites, which now also include a YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/TeessidePA
