Scaling the Skies: The Redcar Beacon
There is something fascinating about the way the Redcar Beacon cuts into the skyline. Often referred to as a "vertical pier," its purple and gold accents and wrap-around walkways offer a rhythmic, geometric challenge for any photographer.
In my latest shoot, I wanted to capture the contrast between the rigid sea wall, the soft sands of Redcar beach, and the towering glass and steel of the Beacon itself. From the top, the view stretches across the rooftops of the Esplanade, offering a bird’s eye view of coastal life.
