planning for my first year at uni
I have an associate's degree right now, so it's not such a big change like it is from high school. I have friends that go there, I've done some research, and I did my big one regarding my schedule so that I only have loved teachers. Still, I am nervous, and I hope things go best.
materials
I'm planning on being as analog as can possibly be because I'm always on that damn computer. Beyond that, most of my teachers don't allow electronics in the classroom. and I really don't want to haul my ugly, terrible computer all around if I can avoid it.
take my leather school bag to the cobbler and have it cleaned and repaired, and convince them to add a strap for my water bottle
buy me the leather pouches from the Republic of Florence I've always wanted. I missed the last sale because I was an idiot, but I'll be on the lookout now. The duo sat in red, the larger in espresso brown.
finally get myself a nicer, heavier, mechanical pencil and a bunch of Sakura Pigma Micron pens, 0.5, and keep the same highlighters
get myself a fat set of stationery paper and envelopes, along with some stamps.
tear out the used pages of my last notebook and hope I'll have enough pages left (most likely yes)
steal more blue pens from work to have a workable stack.
buy more whiteout and test out the highlighters.
school work
make my files for each class and label them clearly; inside, create another folder for submissions
create a page for each teacher and write short paragraph about their field of study, recent research papers, and whatever else could be determined from their social media (if any) and their RateMyProfessor page
add their contact information, office hours, and other relevant information
find the syllabus for each class if available online, and start downloading and locating the readings.
read, scan, annotate, and summarize each like always, and as much as possible before classes
when and if possible, start advancing psychology classes, assignments, and other work
check how to have access to tutoring through school
contact my student mentor and meet for coffee, ask her all the questions I might have
social life
get into the young philanthropist because I was asked, and why not?
double down on museum volunteering.
participate in Frosh Week at every single event as long as I can remain agreeable and hilarious
learn to shut the fuck up, omg.
clean up my Instagram and stop schizoposting on main.
meet up with my friends from highschool, especially if they are going to my same school
participate in the events of my main clubs (wine, museum, art mag, women's leadership, ballet) until the exec team knows me like an annoying cousin
fitness and health
this is me turning back to the old regular me before school starts
ten thousand steps, like everyone else.
a cool thirty-minute movement practice on the daily
two days of legs for one day of arms and abs a week
two ballet classes weekly, at least
2024 eating habits renaissance
lay off the Monster energy drinks until at least
