So the #pandemic is still a thing. #COVID is still killing Americans (because every other country got their shit together & are pretty much done with it now). I’m still pissed; this could still kill my mom, my mother-in-law, & my grandmothers-in-law. . . . I’ve compiled some things to say when encountered by non-mask-wearers; feel free to steal and share. . To the people who don’t cover their noses with their masks - “That’s not how it works, and that’s not a fashion statement.” “Hi, Pinocchio.” “Ah, right, you’re a mouth-breather, it shows.” “You might wanna size up your mask; all the quarantwinkies you ate went straight to your triple chin & now your nose won’t fit.” . To the person who carries the mask instead of wearing it: “It works better on your face than in your hand.” “If you happen to be carrying the virus right now, my mask does almost nothing to protect me.” “The mask helps spread FROM you, not TO you.” “You can spread the virus without having symptoms, you should put your mask on anyway.” “Would you like to put your mask on before or after I mace you?” . To the people who won’t wear masks at all - “You forgot something.” “You’re putting yourself and our entire community at risk right now.” “You may not care for someone disproportionately affected by COVID, but I do, and there are plenty more people like me.” “Oh my GOD, your whole FACE IS OUT! HAVE YOU NO SHAME?!
