The tremendous amount of fully animated scenes and recorded songs they deleted during the making of Frozen 2 really breaks my heart and makes me once again state that WDAS should totally stop making audience screening tests right the f nowÂ
I know, you guys I k n o w, that those audience tests are to get a direct reaction from adults and kids on how they feel about the version of the movie they’re working on, and give the crew the most efficient feedback, I’m aware, but it’s just so stupid when you see how it impacts the work of literally a hundred of people in the studios.Â
The animators who worked on those deleted shots spent 2 months on them. The lightning crew who made the whole thing photo-realistic also wasted 2 months. The draughts people who sketched the storyboards as well. The writers who briefed them as well. The songwriters spent so much time writing those lyrics and composing the music. The voice actors spent so much energy bringing their skills to it.Â
This is purely revolting when you think about it. GIVE US THE FIRST VERSION YOU EVER WORKED ON, WE KNOW IT WILL BE GREAT WDAS, STOP PRESSURING YOURSELF WITH AUDIENCE REACTIONS
