A sense of humor and common sense are being bred out of the human population. I’m happy that Downey and Hemsworth both seem to have embraced and appreciated it. Hemsworth and the Loki movie poster he wanted to hang on his wall :) Humor. It’s fun

Orlando Jones is another one who likes interacting with Fandom.  But the thing is, there are plenty of other actors who don't.  They don't want to know about the fanfic that comes out. They certainly don't want to know about the slash. It discomforts them, knowing that people are taking the characters they portray and are creating entirely new fantasies around them, using their faces and their bodies.

And both positions are ok.  People are allowed to set their own comfort level and their own rules as to what sort of interactions they have with total strangers, regardless of their "celebrity" status.

Large chunks of fandom don't seem to get this.  It seems to be either a position of "HAHAHA SHUT UP YOU'RE NOT SHERLOCK HOLMES GET OVER YOURSELF I WANT TO KEEP WRITING THINGS ABOUT SOMEONE WITH YOUR FACE GETTING FUCKED WITH CHEESE STICKS" or "OMG GET OUT OF HERE I DON'T WANT YOU STICKING YOUR FACE IN MY FANTASY ABOUT SOMEONE WITH YOUR FACE GETTING FUCKED WITH CHEESE STICKS OMG STOP INTRUDING ON MY SAFE SPACE"

People seem to be applying the hack-handed false equivalence to personal fantasies  - don't ask, don't tell, don't seek out.  Except that is a false equivalence, because these fantasies don't stay private. They're published. All over the internet.  There are multiple dedicated archives to this shit, and have been for decades. They're all laid out there, in the open, for anyone with an internet connection to find.  This isn't some complex, hidden secret you have to dig for, it's friggin' overt as hell.
