                            "What?" she's out ahead a ways, walking the oddly kept and swept roof of some museum or other in the heart of Gotham. In truth, she doesn't know why the hell they bother with this city. It's got Batman. On what planet does it need the Avengers? They have their own problems without the Joker poking his ass into their world. Faith's not fast this morning, nursing a headache and a dislocated shoulder, but at least she's moving. Doesn't stop until they find themselves at the roof's edge with a view of the city below them and that's about the time she finally looks to Clint, "Since when? Dude, I know Stark's bankrollin' the project but he's gotta know bringing the Justice League in on anything's a crapshoot. I mean, the egos alone."

Which is hilarious coming from the capital 'A' Avengers and their socially inept band of narcissists. It's easier, though, to see in shades of grey when it's your own in-group you're talking about. To defend her stance, though? One could point out that the Justice League's been literally no help to any of them. Sure, they're always around when they want to bend your ear with a not-so-humble brag about their own abilities but where the hell are they when the sky opens up and big-ass danger falls out? She wouldn't kick any of them out of bed, though.

            Faith reaches up to touch her temple, easing her fingertips against nerve pain that's been on and off since she and Buffy took a blast meant for Deadpool a few days earlier. The fight's been escalating and even a danger hound like this, particular Slayer can't say she's up for whatever's next, "So, what? Don't tell me that's what you dragged my fine ass out here for? I'm not butterin' up Todd, yo. We got a history. You want him in? Hey, feel free but leave me out of it." Jason deserves better than that. So does she, actually.
