If you haven’t heard, a lot of Utah experienced an earthquake at around 7:00 am this morning. It was a 5.7 on the Richter Scale.
I woke up a bit before 7:00 and I was laying in bed while looking at my phone. A while later, I heard the springs in my bed making sounds and I realized my bed was shaking. I sat up and listened to the sound of things rattling around me, and made sure that I was actually feeling an earthquake and I wasn’t just imagining it. I stood up, ready to crawl under my desk, but it was over by then. It felt like it lasted so long because so many things were going through my mind, but I’m sure it was only a few seconds.
I’m pretty far from the place that got hit the worst, so I don’t even want to imagine what it felt like for the people there, I was scared enough 😂. I haven’t felt any aftershocks, but the people that got hit worse are experiencing them. I’ve heard that more could happen, but you never know.
From what I’ve heard, everyone is ok. If it weren’t for the social distancing happening right now, I think a lot more people would’ve been away from their families, so this definitely helped me find something good in the coronavirus situation. Stay safe everyone! 💗
