Leave me in silence, Like hushed whispers in a classroom, Like wrinkled leaves crushing under hurried footsteps, Like the sudden gulp of an ice cream as it melts down the cone. Leave me like I'm familiar Like the creases on your bedsheet as you wake up from a night spent staring at the ceiling Like the uneasy breaths as you shiver in abandonment Like the smell that lingers as clothes dry in the rain Leave me like you ache for me Like a drowning fish yearns for air Like Achilles longs to die next to his lover Like a flame wishes to burn the city down Leave me like you never wanted me to stay Like a rat spluttering on the subway tracks Like pebbles on the pavement Like blood on your hands

Summer has passed

The winter has paused, trapped in fallen pine cones

The night is alone, the moon whispers,

Lullabies to the broken hearted,

City lights shine like lost stars, hidden in the deepened valleys,

The clouds embrace the wailing trees, shivering in this cold breeze,

The wind caresses the closed doors

Windows peeking through the shattered glass panes

into the fog-covered hilltops

The dawn of the new day, brings blood to the sky,

The scars on the mountains shine scarlet,

The rooftops adorned in a golden crown,

Bestowed by the newly born Daystar,

Yet the hopes are destroyed in a grey overcast,

The pain runs down like tears from the sky,

And you and I drench, alone in different worlds, but the same hurt.

Silent love...

"Don't complicate it", Okay noted. All my feelings are mine now, You'll witness only what you want me to show. And nothing more. But it won't erase the truth that only I know. What could've, should've been. Somewhere lost in sharing playlists, And bucket lists, Our love stayed silent. You're hurt, you're broken, And you don't need fixing, Learnt that the hard way, You told me the first day, "I'm not gonna stay" But you fell. You're just an artist exploring emotions, Denying, accepting, unfeeling and healing. It's not like I didn't notice, still I'll say, "I'm unaware, I never knew, And I don't blame you". You hid your love in the most conspicuous way. And yes, I lied, Just a little bit, I said no, when I could've said yes, But anyway, it wouldn't have been powerful enough to make you stay. But painful enough to make me regret. I forced my love to stay silent.

10 years to infinity

The mountains change in ten years, I'm telling you, Durney,

It is a new year, it is another take two,

The world shines purple in the moonlight,

The noun changes into pronoun,

And just like that, life goes on.

It'll be forever,

And it'll be you and I.

We're a conversation in the Universe, Whispered, unheard, unnoticed, Hiding in the shortness of breath, In the pauses in our heads. We're shouted at the top of our lungs, Yet the words fade in the vacuum that surrounds, The voices fade within our reach, There's nothing but silence around. We're passed through sealed lips In veiled glances of despair, In the hopes of a shrewd observer, Of someone who cares. We're stories, told with morphed lies, And unspoken truths, With a beginning and end to fill the void, Written in coloured hues to cover the blues. We're anecdotes, shared by the narrator, Performed in front of an audience, Too busy to notice how the characters change, The act's reduced to mere silence

I loved in Secret...

And I loved you in secret, From the hidden pictures from my phone, Through the stories you posted, Liked and loved by all, Yet there's me, A girl who loved you in secret. You'll never know, neither would I, But maybe in a different time, In a lie, You'll be mine, And then you'll know, I gave you all the love I was capable of. But you deserve more. The road less travelled by...

Two roads once, diverged in a yellow wood,

And he remembered he could not travel both,

Ages and ages later, again he stood

Lost in the city traffic, at the crossroads.

With each street looking identical,

The same crowded cafes where everyone was alone,

Missing among the red lights, that starry night,

For perhaps he did long for home...

He turned his back to one street,

Struggling through the crowd into the other,

Searching for the peace he knows he won't meet,

He returned to the beginning to travel another.

He thought about the road he never took,

Staring into the sky turned black,

He doubted why he could never go back?

Today, he said it with a sigh,

"I took the one less travelled by",

Hasn't that made all the difference?
