GUYS I was listening to the end credits of the extended edition of the Fellowship of the Ring and realized-- there are musical pieces I have LITERALLY never heard before!
I wonder if the entire fandom already knew about this and just didn’t tell me u_u
Like After May It Be/In Dreams, the end credits music transitions to a medley/suite of soundtracks from the film. Most of them are basically the same. BUT if you know me, you know the Breaking of the Fellowship is one of my favorite musical pieces ever composed in the history of mankind, because!! It’s so good!!! And the entire song is built on variations of the Shire/Concerning Hobbits leitmotif!!! The Shire theme has changed to represent how much Frodo has changed!! Also that pennywhistle solo as Frodo and Sam hug...The moment when the music gets quiet and you hear humming as Boromir’s boat is sent down the Anduin...then the music picks up into the “changed Shire theme” when Aragorn says “Frodo’s fate is no longer in our hands....” hearing an Epic Heroic version of the Fellowship leitmotif for the first time since Gandalf’s death, then one final epic sweeping version of the “changed/grown shire” leitmotif, then ending on a pennywhistle version of the Classic Shire theme, fade to black, a children’s choir humming the classic shire theme...........it makes me emotional
So anyway the last song in the end credits of the Fellowship of the Ring is this RADICALLY different version of the Breaking of the Fellowship.
So I looked it up because “why don’t I remember ever hearing this before” and turns out it’s an early demo version of the song! ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!I
If the fandom knew, no one ever Told me..............the fandom let me remain blind and unknowing.....u_u tragic. Anyway here’s the early demo version im talking about:
