This city, crowded and  busy as it can get around this time of night, is a maze despite it’s citizens scurrying around to the same old song and dance routine they need in order to give their lives structure; like lab rats in a Pavlovian experiment. Dear God, I’m turning into my father, she thought to herself, “There is still so much you have to learn about those whom you are choosing to rub elbows and clink glasses with, Victor. Many of them covet just as many secrets as either you, or myself for that matter. What they do in the dark hardly pales in comparison to the image they choose to project to the world around them.
