Its Scabies.They are parasitic mites that live anywhere. Most commonly found in dogs with Sarcoptic Mange also called the itch mite, cooties. Yes it does transfer to humans and they stay on the surface layers causing rashes. Doggies can be protected from it via Nexguard or other anti parasite medication, Humans need a topical cream.
The best way to prevent getting scabies is avoiding contact w someone/ animal who’s already infected, I know of them, I have to identify them at work :)
