Every new member, at some point, finds themselves overhearing a conversation between old Lifesteal members and itâs like the most fucked up shit ever and you can feel the tension as theyâre notably silent, just looking on uncomfortably and mentally deciding that These People need to die. Because they are not morally in the right.
It happened last season after Jumper betrayed and Mapicc said he read a book to learn how to psychologically torture Zam during the cast arc and they should do the same to Jumper. And then Pentar made his decision to leave the team minutes later.
And then on day 1, Mane overhears Red and Woogie were quarreling over who needs the Jepex heart they spawn killed off him like a pack of ravenous wolves. âBut woogie, I need it.â âNo I need itâ Itâs so irreverent to the fucked up after killing a naked player, not once, but twice. So Mane jumps the team and returns to try and kill them again, dying in the process. After he talks to Flame and says, âI don't care that I died, itâs just the way they were acting was.. Itâs personal now bruh. I wonât lieâ

I know Michael Chu retracted the statement that Torbjorn has a bunch of kids, but Chu just quit so I make the rules now. Itâs a LONG post under the cut because I got carried away. Mostly starring Torbjorn, but featuring Ingrid, Reinhardt, and Brigitte (plus a bunch of other kiddos that exist but I donât have headcanon names for yet oops.) There wonât be any Bastion in this one because thatâs an entire other postâs worth of content.
- Torb has a big family. He and Ingrid had a couple children of their own while he had a stable position in Overwatch, but they found out that they loved having little children around the house, so after all of their biological children moved out, they chose to volunteer in the foster system! This lead to them adopting at least four more kids.
- Which means they drive a huge van everywhere.Â
- Both Ingrid and Torbjorn are masters at driving as a result.
- Theyâre exactly equivalent in skill with one exception: Ingrid can parallel park the van, a skill he has yet to figure.
- Their house is pretty big (the Overwatch paycheck paid well, that, along with Ingridâs income,) so thereâs plenty of room for all of them.
- Thereâs three levels: upstairs (for the bedrooms and playrooms,) downstairs (for entertaining spaces/the kitchen and stuff,) and finally, the basement, which is Torbjornâs personal workshop.
- Most third world countries would kill to have a workshop as good as his.
- Itâs all because Ingrid spoils him so much. He gets just as excited for Christmas as his kiddos do.
- âThe latest arc welder? Aww, honey, you shouldnât have!â
- Ingrid doesnât work in his field, but she listens to his special interests dumps, and puts in enough research of her own, that she knows just what to get him every year.
- Ingrid doesnât like getting gifts as much as he does, so for Christmas, he always makes sure to spend quality time with her. He jokes that he âsucks at planning datesâ but he really doesnât! For her, itâs nothing but the top restaurants and most exciting experiences. She loves going ice skating in particular, something that he hates but will always do with her.
- Torbjorn and Ingrid split the cooking equally. Theyâre a bit traditionally gendered with what they like to cook, with Torb leaning more towards grilling and Ingrid preferring baking, but it suits them just fine.
- Their grill, along with every other cooking contraption in the house, has been upgraded in some way. In fact, Torbâs the one who grills only because Ingrid still canât figure out how to use the damn thing since he upgraded it.
- Their house is covered in contraptions of all sorts. Other than the grill, Ingrid utilizes every single one of them. Meals get served and sent around via chutes. The floors sweep and mop themselves automatically when theyâre dirty. The dishwasher loads, washes, and unloads itself in record time.
- You know the zany contraptions in the Addamâs family house? Think that, but more brightly colored.
- However, Ingridâs taste in interior decorating is the opposite of gothic or minimalist- she loves quirky, unique features and bright colors.
- She loves thrifting.Â
- The huge chair they got for Reinhardt in the living room was a thrift store find that sheâs still very proud of.
- She also has an old-fashioned âlive laugh loveâ wall with all of the family portraits. She knows itâs cheesy, but itâs nostalgic for her.Â
- She doesnât just bring furniture home. She also brings home cats.
- Thatâs right. Brigitte got her cat love from Ingrid.
- Itâs a long-standing tradition, with the first cat she brought home was over thirty years ago when they were a new couple.
- Torbjorn swore that it would be her cat and that he wouldnât take care of it.
- He was wrong.
- Very wrong.
- He now loves his cats and calls them cutesy nicknames in whatever language he feels like in the moment.
- He built them automated feeders, automated litter boxes, and even some automated toys. He spoils them rotten.
- Every time Ingrid brings home a new cat itâs the same routine. He swears that this will be the last one and that heâs not taking care of this one! But thatâs wrong and he knows it.
- But, because Ingridâs always bringing things home, sheâs a little more tolerant when Torbjorn brings. . . a specific Omnic. . . home.
- But thatâs a whole other fanfic that I would need to write, so instead, back to the parenting!
- Ingrid is 100% a feral soccer mom. Torbjorn is just as bad.
- Theyâre the ones screaming their lungs out at sports games.Â
- They have a house rule where their kids have to participate in one extracurricular sport. It can be school teams, club teams, or even just working out on their own, but fitness is something that both Ingrid and Torb consider important.
- Torbjorn, of course, built his own gym in the basement. He trained with Brigitte, and now he trains with another one of his daughters whoâs taken an interest in weight-lifting.
- But this all doesnât mean that the Lindholms discourage more creative talents!
- Torbjorn crafted a giant steel board where any arts and crafts get hung with magnets. One of his little boys is an artist and he couldnât be more proud.Â
- Brigitte experimented with metal art when she was a teenager, and many of her pieces are now permanent fixtures in the Lindholm home.
- She crafted a particularly beautiful string of lights that hangs above the dining room table.
- Now itâs time for Uncle Reinhardt!!!
- Okay, so maybe heâs called just âReinhardtâ by the older kiddos, but everyone knows heâs essentially an uncle in all but blood.
- Heâs been invited to every holiday celebration for about. . . actually, heâs just always been there.Â
- Heâs a true multi-generational staple. Brigitte canât remember a holiday without him, and now the younger kiddos are getting doted on by him every Christmas.Â
- Rein loves telling stories for the children. He spends the entire car ride there planning his multi-hour epics.
- Now that sheâs older, Brigitte sometimes helps with the storytelling, contributing sound effects and such.
- Something which just causes Torbjorn to laugh and shake his head.
- Reinhardt also loves nothing more than being a walking jungle gym. As soon as he walks in the door, heâll grab the nearest kiddo and put them on his shoulders. Heâs often seen walking around with a kid in each arm and usually an extra hanging off his back.
- Sometimes he gives Ingrid a heart attack when he starts throwing kids around, but hey, sheâs known him long enough at this point that she (mostly) trusts him.
- Everyone gets sad when Reinhardt has to leave, but he insists that there is justice that needs to be done. He soothes the kiddos by promising an even better story when he gets back.
- Now itâs time to get sad. . . hereâs my Brigitte headcanons. . .
- Brigitte was REALLY close with her father growing up. She spent so much of her time in his workshop learning from him, as one of the only Lindholm children to take a liking to machinery and engineering.
- However, when she moved out. . . she found it difficult to escape his legacy. Everyone, many of the older industry professionals and the like, expected her to be just like her father. They tried to cajole her into finishing old weapons designs that Torbjorn had abandoned.
- It was then that she learned the full extent of Torbjornâs involvement in the Omnic Crisis.
- She had a lot of trouble reconciling this news with her love for him. Itâs still something she had great difficulty with.Â
- This shock played a big part in her decision to give up on finding a job in the industry and instead accompany Reinhardt on his travels.
- It wasnât a decision that Torbjorn endorsed, which hurt their relationship even further.
- But itâs not like he doesnât try to keep in touch. They call every other weekend or so to catch up, but thereâs always a tension between them that neither one is ready to address.Â
- They will talk about it someday. Theyâll figure things out. They care about each other too much for either one to give up.Â
- In the meantime, though, Brigitte has gotten a lot closer with her mother. She calls her much more often.Â
- They talk about all of the things that Brigitte wasnât all that interested in when she was younger. Stuff like fashion, makeup, and more traditional advice, such as how to get a date or what it feels like to fall in love.Â
- Ingrid also makes sure to show her how the cats are doing over the online call.
- To be truthful, Ingrid isnât too worried about Brigitteâs decision to live the rough-and-tumble lifestyle. It reminds her a lot of her own young adulthood, where she decided to pick up everything and move to the big city to get away from her parents.
- Sheâs quick to remind Torbjorn that her own little rebellion is how they came to meet whenever he gets worried about Brigitteâs decision.
- (They met at Ironclad. The only job Ingrid could find after her big move was working secretary. She fell head-over-heels for him immediately, while it took him a while to warm up.)
- (Their first date was just walking around the city, with Torbjorn talking almost the entire time about random things he saw. Heâd see the newest cars on the street and dive into what he knew about that industry. Theyâd pass by a construction sight and heâd point out what tool designs were similar to the ones he was working on.)
- (When he realized that she was actually listening to him and taking him seriously, he agreed to a second date and never looked back.)
- They arenât a perfect couple- theyâve had their fair share of arguments, especially because theyâre both deeply stubborn, but theyâre always able to work it out in a way that makes them both happy. That skill is why theyâve lasted so long.
- One thing theyâve never argued about, though, is Torbjornâs commitment to duty. When they started dating he made it clear that his work was very important to him. Ingrid made it clear that she was willing to be patient.
- It got hard when he was away for months at a time with Overwatch during the Crisis and its aftermath, but through constant online calls they managed.
- The biggest surprise of Ingridâs life was when he told her he wanted to have kids when the Crisis ended.
- Turns out, having a major life crisis about how your career impacted the world makes someone want to find another purpose in life besides their career.
- And thus, they dove into parenthood together.
- Now they both couldnât be happier :)
Ah yes, here we have sad Cathy Parr hours. I absolutely love writing Cathy Parr, so Iâm glad I finally got around to finishing one of these fics. I also donât see too much Kitty/Cathy friendship, so I figured Iâd rectify that. Have some hurt/comfort, my specialty. Apologies for any grammatical errors. Comments are gladly accepted. PLEASE DO NOT POST OUTSIDE OF TUMBLR.
Please send in requests, Iâm bored and I have no imagination right now, I need something to do. Iâll try to get them done as soon as possible.

Trigger Warnings: Allusions to sexual abuse, insomnia, negative thoughts
Cathy Parr was an insomniac, simple as that. She didnât know if it was her own fault she could never sleep, or if her body had some deficiency, but rarely did she find herself comfortably asleep. So she figured sheâd make use of her time. If she couldnât sleep, why not work and be productive. She swapped her pillow for a cup of coffee, her pajamas for a computer screen, and settled in for the night.
Sure, sheâd find herself feeling and acting like a zombie the next day, but what was the point of attempting to sleep and still getting the same result? To be honest, sometimes Cathy didnât even know what she was doing on her computer screen. More often than not sheâd find herself searching for information on her Mary, praying that someone, one person, would have any idea what happened to her. Instead, she only dug up more on Thomas, the man she thought she loved.
Of course she knew Thomas wasnât perfect, but his flaws were what made him so attractive to Cathy. She loved him for not giving up on her, for supporting all her beliefs. He wasnât perfect, but it took time for Cathy to realize that he was much farther from perfect than she ever imagined. The things he did to Elizabeth, the things she let him get away with. If she had been a little stronger, she wouldâve been able to protect Liz and her own daughter but⊠she hadnât been. Instead, she had left them alone with that horrible, horrible man, and - well history told the rest of the story pretty well.
It made Cathy feel absolutely terrible, singing about Thomas every night. The queens had all agreed to write the show from their perspectives before researching what history said about them, and Cathy couldnât help but regret that decision. Everyday she told the world how much she loved Thomas, how good he was for her. She was painting a devil as a saint and never even realized it.
The worst part was that some of her still denied it. She couldnât associate the modern version of Thomas with the man she knew. Cathy believed all the articles she read, she believed that Thomas did what they said he did but⊠part of her ached to forgive him. She still loved him, and that was what hurt the most.
Cathy wondered if this was what Jane felt everyday.
As proud as she was of their show, as much as she cared for the queens and the ladies in waiting, Cathy longed to be back in 16th century England. At least then, she would be ignorant. At least then she would have her daughter. At least then she wouldnât regret loving anyone.
A knock came from her door causing Cathyâs neck to dart quickly to the side. She slowly got up and approached the door, waiting to see if there would be another knock. Indeed, a second knock against the door, followed by anxious shuffling noises on the other side. Opening the door, Cathy was greeted with Kitty on the other side, wrapped in a pink blanket, swaying side to side nervously. Her head was pointed at the floor as she refused to make eye contact with Cathy as she spoke. âI just - uh - everyone else was asleep. I didnât want to bother anyone but - but your light was on so - so I just thought. I can go if youâd like,â as she rambled, Kitty started to back up and move away from Cathyâs door.
âHey, Kitty, you can come in if youâd like,â Cathy offered. With all her internal turmoil, the writer could use the company of someone else. Looking hopeful, Kit waddled her way into the room with her blanket still wrapped tightly around her body. She plopped herself on Cathyâs bed, the aforementioned woman returning to her desk.
The two sat silently, the only sound being the click of Cathyâs keyboard as she typed in a new query into google. Kitty watched the older queen, not saying anything at first. Eventually, she broached the silence with, âWhat are you looking for?â
Pausing her search, Cathy turned around so she and Kit could talk face to face. When they made eye contact, the younger queenâs eyes dropped to her lap as she fiddled with her hands. Cathy was used to Kitâs nervous behaviors, especially at night when they came from nightmares. Usually it was one of the other queenâs who helped the teenager out, but Cathy didnât really have that option. âJust doing some research, nothing much,â Cathy responded lightly, hoping to coax Kitty into soft conversation. âWhy are you up so late?â
Kitty ignored the question and asked, âWhat were you researching? Youâre very focused. Is that why youâre still awake?â
Cathy sighed. She didnât want to explain to Kit that it was her insomnia keeping her up, so she tried to go for a more simple approach. âIâm not tired, and I have a lot of work to do, so I decided to stay up late. Just for tonight.â
âBut itâs not just tonight,â Kitty frowned. âWhenever I have a nightmare, I always see your light on. And you always look so tired. Cathy, when do you sleep?â
There was a moment of silence as the two queens looked at each other. Cathy was taken aback by Kit calling her out, and Kit just seemed genuinely concerned. âI sleep plenty, donât worry about that.â
âBut I do worry,â Kitty said. âI know Iâm not like Aragon who always checks up on you, or Annie who always has your back but⊠I care too.â There were tears in the corners of Kittyâs eyes, and Cathy wasnât quite sure if they had been there from the moment she walked in the door.
Softening her gaze, Cathy moved away from her laptop to sit next to Kit on her bed. She opened her arms and let the younger queen rest against her chest. âAnd I care about you too, Kitty. You can always come to me if you need someone. My door is always open.â
Sniffling, Kit replied, âThanks Cathy.â The two sat together on the bed for a little while, enjoying the silence of the night. âButâŠâ Kit said once again, âWhat were you researching?â
Cathy froze up, but then relaxed. âNothing important really, donât worry about it, Kitty.â
âIf itâs not important, why canât you tell me?â Kitty asked. Then wincing as she realized how she sounded, the teen reiterated, âI just wanna know so Iâm not worrying.â
Kittyâs pouting is what finally broke Cathy into telling the truth. âI was searching for Mary.â At Kitâs frown, she elaborated, âMy daughter Mary.â The younger queen nodded and encouraged Cathy to keep talking. âHistory doesnât know anything about her. As soon as I died, she disappeared. And I wish there was anything I could find about her. Good or bad, at this point, I donât care. Anything is better than not knowing.â Tears started to pool in her eyes, but suddenly Cathy couldnât stop herself from letting everything out. âAll I ever find is about Thomas. The man I thought was good and loving. History only talks about all the terrible things he did, to Elizabeth, to Edward. I donât want to believe any of it, but deep down I do, I know itâs true. And yet I still love him. What kind of person am I to still love a monster?â
âFor the longest time I thought I was in love with Dereham,â Kitty spoke up.
âBut he-â
âYeah, he did.â Kittyâs eyes were once again in her lap. âHe was so kind to me, I thought it was love. It took a long time for me to come to terms with the fact that even if I had feelings for him, that didnât mean it was my fault. Most of what I remember of Francis wasnât horrible. There,â she shivered, âthere were horrible moments, yes, but I still thought it was love.â She brought her eyes up to look at Cathy. âLoving Thomas isnât your fault. Maybe itâll take some time to see the Thomas you remember with the Thomas he was, but one day youâll realize that you donât need him in your life. To - uh - to paraphrase a line, âYou donât need his love.ââ
Cathy let the words sink in before she pulled Kitty closer to her in a tight embrace. âThank you, Kit,â she whispered. âThat means a lot.â
Giggling, the younger queen shrugged against Cathy. âIf Iâve learned anything about the 21st century, itâs that you gotta live in the present. So letâs watch a movie or something Cathy!â
Lifting up the teen as she stood up, Kitty squealed in delight as Cathy carried her to the door. Cathy was probably the weakest of the queens, but she did her best to entertain the youngest by carrying her down to the living room. So what if her muscles ached, it was worth it to see Kitty laughing with joy. âWhat do you want to watch?â Cathy asked as she scrolled through all the movies they had.
âFrozen,â Kitty said determinedly while staring at Cathy.
Chuckling, she asked, âWhy that one?â
âBecause Anna and Elsa donât need any man, they just need each other.â Cathy felt herself melt a little when Kit spoke so passionately. The two queens shared a grin and sat together on the couch and let the movie play. They sang along to the songs they knew, shushing each other when they got too loud. Although they had already seen Frozen multiple times, this time the movie seemed far better than either of them remembered.
When morning rolled around and Jane came downstairs to make breakfast, she was surprised to see the last two queens snuggled together on the couch. They were both sound asleep under Kitâs pink blanket, arms around each other with smiles on their faces. Without saying a word, Jane grabbed a second blanket and laid it on top of them before resuming her morning duties.
Needless to say, Cathy Parrâs insomnia didnât seem like such a burden anymore.
