I am dying to know
what IS the difference between root user and admin???
A root user is the user that controls what all the other users get to access–including admins. It's sort of a secret user behind the consumer-grade GUI, and in modern Mac OS, you gotta put in work to even access root user functions because your main account you actually use the computer with? The one that has all the admin rights and user accesses enabled? It can still break, without breaking the whole OS.
If you break the root user account? Different story. That's a bricking, generally, in a Unix system, because Unix works like an upside-down pyramid made of cups of varying sizes that are perfectly seated into one another, and that single narrow root base is holding EVERYTHING above it up, the origin point through which all Big Commands ultimately run some permission checks (gravity, in this tortured metaphor) however invisible it may be just a few levels up the chain. (Pretty sure it's rough on Linux too, but I have less experience with Linux personally, so I'm only speaking for certain in Unix terms.)
That's why you generally don't log into the root user for anything other than creating new accounts, and controlling the permissions of other accounts. If you get careless with data and programs in the root user and it kernel panics on you (the technicolor unix/linux equivalent to a blue screen) then it's a whole different level of breakage than all the lower forms of user account would experience.
It's thus kind of perfect, thematically, for the character who incarnated into the shitty genre story he himself authored, while also automatically giving him less system functionality day to day than the regular ass user who happened to be that author's biggest critic in their previous lives, who gets to abuse the system's features a great deal more in the story.
There, clear as... something clearer than mud, I hope.
am eepy tired but it's too early for bed so blasting loud fave music into my ears is the solution for sure
I'm not built for a 9-5, i'm supposed to rock up at 1pm with an iced latte, try turning it off and on again and then nap

A code:
LUF36FXBkr
Have fun?
THANK YOU SO MUCH- the code's been redeemed and it worked he got in, if you'd like me to make you sumn just ask whenever :D
The dichotomy of me planning out the politics of “a poison tree” is ‘oh no, I wonder if this is too out of character for this person who appeared twice and had one line in F&B. :( Can I still use him or should I make up new character to serve my purpose?” Versus ‘this entire plot line for this house is dumb. I’m throwing the entire thing out and writing my own.’
