Weekend hut in Isòvol, Girona, Spain,
The outermost layer presents a 60×60mm tubular structure composed of 1.5×1.5m modules that form two horizontal planes set 3 meters apart by twelve 60×60mm pillars.
The lower horizontal plane doubles the structure longitudinally, making it easy for the system to be lifted and transported elsewhere.
The upper one doubles it transversally, taking snow overloads into account. The combination of expanded cork on the facade and plywood boards in the interior walling makes for thick thermal and acoustic protection.
The roof is made impermeable by a continuous rubber membrane.
