With all the uncertainty of the current pandemic, it’s been really interesting to see how the different organizations have begun to pivot. Islands of Brilliance was quick to adapt with their virtual engagement through their Question of the Day series, Virtual Doodle Lounge, and now bringing workshops into the virtual space. I was fortunate enough to take part in a pilot week, helping to test the new model and provide some feedback. Introvert that I am, I’ve been adapting pretty well overall to this "new normal" we're all experiencing, enjoying working from home, so it’s not too surprising that I find myself very much enjoying the new virtual space. Another reason could be the amazing student I was able to work with, who is particularly skilled when it comes to color and collage work. As we progressed through the workshop, I created this coloring page style portrait as a potential project idea, demonstrating more ways to play in Adobe Illustrator. Though the piece wasn’t needed during the workshop, perhaps this illustration will yet make its way into another one of their projects. Thank you to @iobmke for the fun, and as always, stay safe and healthy everyone! #Islandsofbrilliance #IOB #volunteer #autism #autismawareness #Illustrator #AdobeIllustrator #Adobe #SocialDistancing #creativity #connections #virtualworkshops #mentoring #remotework #remotelife #virtuallife #workfromhome #DigitalArt #Illustration #coloringpage #QuarantineLife https://www.instagram.com/p/CAgQIVlnMvf/?igshid=r7c5w2bh6mdr
