Oh boy, here we go!

So the big one is definitely Asahina, I feel like their passion and energy compliment each other in a way that makes them work. They love what they do and honestly I can see Ishimaru seeing her dedication to swimming and finding it admirable. Plus someone as cheerful as Asahina could probably loosen the stick up his butt.

Then there’s Mukuro. I know they don’t really have any canon interactions, but there’s always been something interesting about these two. I think it’s the fact that they’re both socially awkward, granted in different ways, and something like that can bounce off each other and make them get along. Plus there’s the whole soldier and general vibe between them so it’s got a nice aesthetic.

This one is no doubt a crack ship, and I’m probably the only one who ships them, but I also like the idea of him with Sayaka. This is mostly because one of the art books I think had little things mentioning how each character thinks of the other, and Ishimaru’s thoughts of Sayaka were something along the lines of saying she’s the model of beauty (I’m paraphrasing and I don’t feel like digging things up right now) and that just flipped the switch in my head. Similar to Asahina, I think he’d appreciate her dedication to being an idol because that’s not really easy to pull off.
