Would anyone be interested in writing a plot that takes place after Sam gets shot in the barn? Where Paulie is watching over him until he gets better? And it shifts into something more romantic. Maybe Paulie has been crushing on Sam for awhile, pining after him but Sam has never noticed until Paulie is finally caring for him while he’s bedridden and injured.

Paulie makes him full blown meals, he brings him the paper every morning go read, sits with him and talks while he plays a quiet record in the background, etc

And all of this makes Sam finally open his eyes to how Paulie really feels, because he can’t ignore it any longer.

And maybe it can evolve into Paulie finally opening up to him about how tired he is of the life and how he was planning the robbery. By that point, Sam would be willing to help and run with him because he knows hiw Paulie feels about him.

Plotwise, I've been thinking about some silly au's, but if you're looking for something more serious....I'd love to try something where Paulie takes care of Sam after Sam gets shot and proving just what he'd do for Sam to make sure he's ok. Maybe it awakens something possessive in Sam, where once he heals, he never lets Paulie out of his sight, never lets another woman flirt with Paulie, keeps him from going to the Blue Tropics ever again. hell, he doesn't even want Tommy looking Paulie's way for too long.

I love these two a lot and never thought to explore a more unhealthy, dark sort of romance between them and I'd love to give it a try!

Maybe we can have them enabling each other, like Paulie manages to persuade Sam to join in on the bank heist and Sam encourages Paulie to just get rid of Salieri and then they can be their own crime family without the threat of getting taken out just for wanting to leave.

and Tommy's in the middle just glad that his friends are happy together. He's very supportive of their messed up romance.

Maybe something where Paulie originally convinces Sam to commit the robbery with him instead of Tommy, or he’s been pining for Sam for ages and Tommy notices and plays wingman to try and get them together as a way to resolve Paulie’s funk in the latter half of the game.

Orrr Paulie and Sam are helping Tommy prepare for his and Sarah’s wedding and the whole time leading up to the wedding they realize how they feel about each other and Tommy is the middle man that they vent to - until Tommy gets fed up with their pining and encourages them to confess to each other at the wedding <3

Or an au where they aren’t mafia men? Modern day au?

Anyway!! Tommy passes away like he did canonically, getting a hit put on him in his twilight years. However, once his vision fades to black, he finds himself waking up in Salieri’s bar back in his 30 y/o body.

Turns out, he’s been sent back in time to fix the past. Not just the outcome for himself, but Sam and Paulie as well. And now that he has a second chance, he manages to notice some things between Paulie and Sam that he hadn’t noticed before. Their eyes lingering on each other for a moment too long, their hands brushing together more often then not, etc. Tommy realizes to save their lives he needs to get Paulie and Sam together - because it’s clear they’ve been pining for each other for awhile.

So, cue Tommy playing wingman and trying to get both boys to admit they’re not just friends, while time ticks down to the robbery, to Paulie’s death, to Sam’s betrayal.

Eventually it all culminates with Tommy choosing to stay with Paulie after the robbery. Sure enough, Sam shows up like he would canonically, although he’s clearly more conflicted about this decision then he was the first time around. And with Tommy in the middle he’s finally, finally able to talk him down and make the two see how much they really mean to each other.

Cue the three going on the run together or overthrowing Salieri so they don’t have to run, while Tommy gets to live the rest of his life with his friends and happily plays third wheel to Sam and Paulie being smitten with each other. Alternatively, Tommy realizing he feels something for the two of them as well and joining in on the love <3

Maybe a modern day au - a cute little meetcute between Paulie, the owner of a pizza parlor in town and Sam, a stoic workaholic news anchor. Maybe Sam stops in for the first time when Tommy takes him in and immediately finds himself smitten with Paulie because he’s just a cute, cheerful guy. Sam keeps coming back on his lunch breaks now, unable to stay away, but Paulie is oblivious to his growing feelings and is trying to hide his own. Maybe Tommy encourages Sam to ask him on a date or something-

Alternatively we can do Paulie/Tommy or Sam/Tommy as well!

I just thought a cutesy little modern day au would be fun to write! I’ve got more serious ideas as well if this one isn’t your style!

And i’d be willing to write for Paulie or Tommy given what ship we write but I can try my hand at Sam as well.

At first, it starts when Tommy helps Paulie home after another of his classic drunken benders, so Tommy just assumes it’s a bad night for him, but then it keeps happening. Even when Paulie is sober. Paulie corners him in alleyways when they’re on a job together and asks Tommy to start coming over way more often for ‘nights out to find a girl’. Until it fully devolves into Paulie calling him out for his little crush that Tommy didn’t even realize he had developed, because Paulie tells him he likes the way he blushes when he gets close. And then it ends up becoming the two of them involved in a sort of affair (can be when Tommy is with Sarah and he’s basically sneaking around or just when Tommy’s single and doesn’t want anyone else to know he’s into men) where they have to keep it a secret but Paulie is so damn flirty that it makes Tommy weak in the knees so they’re doimg a very bad job at hiding.

Maybe someone does find out, whether it be Sam or Salieri or Sarah, and Tommy and Paulie have to leave or go on the run for their own safety.
