The Lord dropped some bombs of wisdom all over my mental landscape today. I said a prayer in passing and He opened my eyes to the way things are and I'm sure have been for a while about the situation mentioned in one of my earlier text posts...yes, the shook one. (Shout out to Mobb Deep lol, no: it has nothing to do with that track - I digress.) Things got, "twisted upside-down" but now they're right-side up (shout out to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).

In times like these (all times actually if we care to listen) He always shows up. I've come to understand myself better. I've also come to see what I truly appreciate and unearthed my unique love language (you never stop learning, Google it and discover yours - a wise friend blessed me with that wisdom, so now: my gift to you fair interwebs.)

This reminds me of a classic Chris Rock stand up special when he chats about the difference between men and women with regards to relationships. When he goes on about the difference between how men and women will view a friend's romantic partner (I'm paraphrasing here) he says when men see how well their friend's girlfriend treats their friend, they say, "I gotta find me a girl LIKE THAT", but when a woman sees how good their friend's boyfriend is to their friend they say, "I gotta get THAT man!"

Lol. So many gems I will never forget from his earlier specials..."we're telekineeesic, we're telekineeesic...he's the sun to my moon, the sky to my stars!...aaahhh....we're telekineeesic!" When lovers gush over each other in the early stages, hahaha.

Anyway, I may not be ready for a long while if ever, but I can definitely say: I wouldn't mind walking life's journey alongside a lady LIKE THAT. A woman whose heart fills the universe, whose smile penetrates the darkest recesses of the hardest hearts and whose embrace turns the toughest day's troubles to dust. If you're with a lady like that - count your blessings good sir and let her know it. If you're that lady: do you perhaps have a sister you could introduce me to? Hook a brother up man. Haha, but seriously though: my numbers are 0-8...nah, I'm kidding...maybe just send her this: I like long walks on the beach (whenever I'm near a beach), love staring at sunsets (I'm usually not up early enough to catch the sun RISE), if you're muse material you'll be the subject of my next poem (I can't make any guarantees though sorry), I'm a dog person who has recently become partial to felines (they aaait), I'm a decent listener (it helps if you don't have a monotonous voice though as I'm also a champion napper) and give great hugs (apparently).
