there is, famously, a huge amount of social pressure on gnc cis people to transition. society just wants more trans people, trans women especially. this is a real and serious problem. there are just too many trans women making egg jokes. we have to protect the poor cis people from being compared to us (which is clearly and self evidently a horrible thing to do clearly)

clair obscur expedition 33 is the ones who walk away from omelas except in this version you really get to see how great omelas is before you ever get introduced to the suffering child. would you really walk away if omelas was gestrals and ice turtles and forests and seas and flying castles, and your friends and families with names and lives, loves and generations, a community that was happy in the difficult, real way happiness comes, if omelas is a parade of smiling lumiere--and the suffering child? there's just one. just verso. okay, five if you count the other ones, and the other ones are asshole gods. it's not your fault your omelas is created on the back of their grief. you didn't build the city. why should one suffering family merit the destruction of a real utopia? maybe it's worth it. maybe the dessendres can know nothing else. maybe the suffering child is doomed either way, so it doesn't matter. maybe the suffering child is cool with it, so it doesn't matter. maybe this is what it means that the ones who walk away from omelas are so incredible.
