Time to list off a bunch of funky au ideas/crossovers that came to me late at night and were born because of hyperfixations!!!!
Mornings like this.....
{What else could be better than a tea to start off your day! (And especially a Sunday😍)}
I keep saying it, but I really do love the dynamic between Kratos and Atreus. It reminds me a little bit of myself and my own dad (except Kratos actually seems to try and better himself 🙃)
But one thing I see often that I don't think I've talked about yet is how everyone seems to keep blaming Kratos for every little thing.
He's not a great dad. I'll say that right now. I'll even say that due to his trauma and current anger issues that having a kid again may have even been...well, a bad idea. You have to be able to raise your child with the ability not to shove your trauma and anger upon them, and also be ready to give affection when they need it (He is...not good at that).
But he tries. He works hard not to let his anger get the best of him, to praise his child when he can, to give him advice and allow him to learn from his mistakes.
Does he give him enough affection and praise? I don't think so, but I wouldn't put it past him to be hesitant with how their past together had been. When you feel like you can easily hurt you child just by touching them, and the two of you aren't close, AND you think your child probably fears or resents you (He probably does, but not to the extreme), then giving any form of affection can be...hard, and I can't put it past him to think it wouldn't be well received.
He also probably has issues being touched or praised himself, as being raised as a soldier in ancient Greece probably beat away the desire to have such. That or it created a lot of trauma and made it hard for it to happen.
He's just an old guy with PTSD trying his best, and he knows he's not great at it, but Atreus can obviously tell he is and appreciates it at the very least.
