โI Quit Drinkingโ by Kelsea Ballerini & LANY
Country artist Kelsea Ballerini sobers up with synth-pop band LANY in the just released collaboration โI Quit Drinking.โ
The two premiered the song last night on the County Music Television (CMT) Awards where Ballerini co-hosted the night alongside fellow country singer Kane Brown. Ballerini and LANY lead singer Paul Klein kept it simple as their perfectly blended voices serenaded each other along a lighted walkway with a multi-colored house light up behind them.
Emotional and drinkless the two detail their rise from life of the party to blaming each other for their current sobriety because theyโre โthe only thing I want when one drop hits my mouth.โ The performance concludes with a rain shower over the two.
This collaboration marks LANYโs only second ever after their Julia Michaels featured โokay.โ For Ballerini this single follows up the 2021 release of her 2020 song โhalf of my hometownโ that saw country legend Kenny Chesney lend his vocals to the updated version.
Would you quit drinking after a break-up? Only one way to find out โ check out this latest collab.
