Coach Joey and his champion OF.THE.WOOOOOORLD. John Haack, Open 83kg/183lb class at IPF Worlds 2016!! 🔥🔥🔥 Totaling 813.0kg/1792.4 lbs and beating out Brett Gibbs was absolutely fucking nuts. From the humility of the greatest powerlifters who blend in like normal people in the crowd, to the support everyone gives each other regardless of where they're from, to how easy these guys make a shit ton of weight look. These movements may seem basic and sometimes unamusing, but to actually move some real weight, there's a hell of a lot more to it. The amount of work and time put in into technique and strength building. So much respect and love for this sport and the athletes of powerlifting. Hope this sport continues to grow in the right directions. And thanks Raymond for the invite and Kenny for driving. It was way more fun and exciting than I had expected.
