Today I made a guy who disrespected me and violated my basic sense of safety accountable for his actions. I spent the last 3 days seeking assistance from the police as well as friends well-versed with the law to deal with this SEXUAL PREDATOR, because I owe it to the people I love and care about to FIGHT FOR MYSELF and not let abusive men get away with their irresponsible, harmful actions. #ipaglabanmo Sana magsilbing aral ang ginawa ko para sa ibang mga babae, sa ibang tao, na basta-basta na lang binabastos o hina-harass. Especially to girls and fellow ladies out there: ANO OR SINO KA MAN, WALANG KARAPATAN ANG KAHIT NA SINO NA BASTUSIN KA O GAMITIN ANG TIWALA MO PARA SIRAIN KA AT NG MGA MAHAL MO SA BUHAY. Babae ka, TAO KA, and you DESERVE RESPECT, period. Kaya once may ginawang hindi tama sayo, verbal means man o physical, emotional abuse man yan or sexual, LUMABAN KA. Mag-sumbong ka kaagad sa pulis. Humingi ka kaagad ng tulong sa awtoridad. That’s exactly what I did. Lumapit kaagad ako sa pulis dahil ayokong maging isa lang sa mga unreported statistics ng mga babaeng hina-harass at bina-blackmail. And, given how arrogant this guy is (presko! mayabang!), I am convinced I am not the first female he ever disrespected or harassed—and, god forbid, I may not be the last. Believe me when I say HE IS INCAPABLE OF REMORSE, because, what human being in his right mind would apologize in an aggressive, almost attacking way?? How will I ever accept any apology from him if every time he speaks to me his tone and overall demeanor screams I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOU? To be honest, galit na galit na galit pa rin ako sa kanya and even if I already made him accoubtable, after making him promise in writing TO LEAVE ME ALONE AS WELL AS MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND LOVED ONES FOR THE REST OF HIS GODDAMN LIFE, I’m still enraged at the audacity of what he did to me. But then I realized, the world remains a just place. I did what I had to do and now must let Life itself sort things out.
