This autumn I turned 22, and mummy told the neighbours I never forget a face; something I got from my grandmother maybe that's why when they visited, they perceived all portraits to be the same mummy's troubled, but I only see one face; and mother couldn't see you like I could, in the windows, on the walls I tried scraping you off, but daddy says I'm chipping off the paint maybe mummy never loved daddy, like I loved you; but my therapist says you don't love a living person like you love a dead the day you left, I cried not because I wouldn't see you again (I see you all the time), but because the coffin they laid you in was too small to contain your great life my therapist asks what you look like. Like "desire and laughter, spring and life", I say no wonder I've been lifeless since you left. I never forget a face.
