So I haven’t watched Invincible but I’ve seen a lot of clips for it so I somewhat know the plot

And so from what I know, the dad’s an alien who’s come to earth to colonize it and he has a kid (Mark) with a human and the kid eventually develops powers and doesn’t know about the dad’s whole evil world domination plot until way later on

Then the dad leaves (or is imprisoned?) and the kid meets a whole bunch of other evil variants of himself

Anyways, because of all that, I’ve been thinking of a scenario where it’s like. a character like Mark who eventually develops superpowers and all that, but never reveals it to their dad for whatever reason, they still become a superhero but their family has no idea

And their reasons for hiding it have nothing to do with their dad’s evil plans, they don’t find out about that until the other variants show up and their dad is explaining to them “oh the version of you in this world has no superpowers” etc, and then the world domination plans start getting discussed, and the kid, in their hero outfit, is behind the dad, having a quiet freakout about their world view getting shattered, and the variants are realizing what’s going on while the dad is completely oblivious

(2 ways this works with the dad not putting it together immediately when seeing the other variants is either because 1) their trajectory is so different with being a secret even from their family that their hero name and outfit is completely different, or 2) this version of them is a different gender and so the name and outfit naturally got changed but is similar enough that the other variants are putting it together, which is what I’m imagining)
