Blue Angels, President Obama, iOS 9 Dynamic Animations, and Kanye West
On Monday morning, after a week long iOS training, we flew around the world from Barcelona, Spain, back to iNVASIVECODE’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco. And since we’ve returned, it’s been a warm and wild week in the center of the tech world.
This past week, we were busy updating our iOS training material for our October 26th class and writing a new tutorial on Dynamic Animations for iOS 9 UIKit, but we were also amazingly stimulated by all the energy and events that were buzzing right outside our office doors.
Yesterday, while we were testing the new Apple TV developer kit, we were interrupted every few minutes as the walls of our building shook and extremely loud noises were heard overhead. At first, these noises and vibrations were a little disconcerting, and we even asked, “Are we safe?” But we soon realized that the loud noises were from The Blue Angels, who were flying very close to our office as a part of the San Francisco’s annual Fleet Week. So rather than worry, we looked through our office windows in amazement as The Blue Angels flew very close to each other at the speed of sound.
If this wasn’t enough excitement, on the way to the office this morning, the streets were exceptionally crowded, and we soon realized that Kayne West will be hosting an event alongside President Obama in the historic Warfield Theater, which is right across the street from iNVASIVECODE’S headquarters. So, although it’s been a little difficult to code amongst all this mayhem, one thing is certain, San Francisco is a pretty fun place to be an iOS Developer.

Before the launch of iOS 5, the customization of some UI elements (navigation bars, switches, etc.) was possible only writing a lot of code, subclassing or adding categories for each UI component. With iOS 5 Apple provided developers with a simpler way of customizing UI elements. Later, with iOS 6, every UI component became quite fully customizable.
This week in Barcelona, do not miss it. We will go through the iPhone SDK and its potentialities. [Keep reading](https://www.invasivecode.com/weblog/big-event-in-barcelona-with-invasivecode/)
