clover is born to a recent graduate turned duke, who was spending the next year on his lonesome. her father had plans to travel all over the world before he ultimately was stuck with his worst nightmare: being stuck to one job for the rest of his life!! he was already engaged and everything was carved out for him back home. he settles down in belgium for a few months, and meets styx (who had been on her own adventure of wandering around the human world <3) at a bar late at night. it was quite literally love at first sight and they began seeing each other every other night since.

she ends up pregnant not that long after lmao and he’s like :O how could that have happened...like sir ? but anyways he steps up to the plate real quick until styx is like .. so this was kind of a buzzkill! and leaves after giving birth. just up and goes back down to the underworld literally. he’s a bit shocked and has no idea how to return back to his home ??? with a freaking baby ?? calls up his dad tho who is like facepalming hardcore but giving solid (?) advice about how to cover it all up. clover returns back to london at a few months old, and news travels fast about how the young duke and his fiancee were going to speed up their marriage bc tada... they had a kid! they said sorry or whatever for doing that i guess and the public got over it as they fell in love with clover, and they’re the ones who gave her nickname, love ! 

she’s raised in a nursery at the kensington palace until she’s three, and the family move to an estate nearby. growing up she’s the apple of her dad’s eye <3 absolutely can do no wrong and one bat of her eyes and she’s getting whatever she wants and then some more. she was always the number one person in his life, and vice versa (like the vibes between samantha and her dad in a cinderella story ty) <3 but her stepmom really did hate her LMAO and just could never accept her as her own. she never did anything or said anything outright either, but she would basically act as if she was a ghost and not really there . ( death and plane crash tw ) on a trip to fiji for her 19th birthday , her dad leaves for business on an overseas trip for some weeks . midway something goes wrong with the flight and an unfortunate accident occurs alongside the mountains beneath them . it’s later revealed that the plane was given a false pass during a routine check up to avoid paying any more fees . 

as per her father’s final wish on his will, and with long patience for a blessing from the monarchy, his title doesn’t end with him and instead passes down to his daughter. her mom is MORE than pissed bc she thought she would be getting it, but instead she gets a lower title (sucks 2 suck<3) . it’s a lot for love (and not something she’s entirely fully done processing yet either) and she pulls back from the world a lot for the year. the following year she picks up on the humanitarian work her father was doing before her, working hands on with certain charities and foundations and emphasized her work on women rights. she makes her modelling debut in the fall, and is almost attacked by a disguised monster backstage . it’s the first and only time she confides in her stepmother, who books a one-way ticket to los angeles. she doesn’t explain much, only that if love ever explained a situation similar to that (involving a monster), she needed to be sent somewhere there. it was the only thing he had ever asked from her, and a promise she intended to keep despite her own personal feelings about clover. 

the cover up is that she moved to milan and is enrolled at some private school, but shes really at nemean lion <3  clover still goes by love, and has been in nemean lion since winter of 2020. everything is just A Lot and she’s still processing everything since like age 18 tbh. a walking lorde song (specifically ribs).  she was a bit of a ditz her first few months at nemean, getting totally lost and having an elle woods first day of law school type of day ... but for like months. however, she’s found a bit of her grounding now (wobbly at best...) at nemean and almost feels ... comfortable to be there. it’s much more stable than her life back at home and learning about her mother’s side has definitely been trip ever since her step mom initially told her (after love confided about the attack incident). love is completely and totally a bootleg copy of both lizzie bennet and emma woodhouse. she has both a sharp and fiery tongue and a heart too big for her chest that has a special spot for everyone she adores. she’s pretty oblivious to a lot of things and it takes her some time for things to click up there but she’s trying <3  a HOPELESS ROMANTIC she daydreams about the cute cashier for a solid week (with dreamy eyes and little sighs and all) but won’t make eye contact with them the next time she sees them to assert dominance. an earphone girl living in an airpod world. she is nothing without her iced oatmilk matcha latte and has main character at a grocery store syndrome.

to start with jude, it really starts with his parents. his mother, jessamine, was a daughter of phobos born into an affluential and influential korean-american family. her family were well connected and had big names deep in their pockets, since they pretty much served the one percent and helped clean up their bullshit in a blink of an eye. they had the money, the means, and other people willing to do their dirty work. it boiled down to wealth and power, so they didn’t really care who they screwed over (most often innocent people). she attended nemean lion the year it opened, was the resident it girl, and left a few years later to france and later to south korea, to expand her family’s firm over there. little did she know, a fellow demigod (aka her future husband), kiha, also attended nemean lion at the same time. he was the child of elpis and stayed only for a year, since got accepted into law school in south korea and decided to dip.

after getting her license to practice over there, it became very evident why she was her family’s pride. earning herself the nickname ‘ the butcher of busan ‘ during the years spent by the seaside city, corrupted politicians and ceos notorious for being pieces of shits (for a lack of a better term) knew exactly who to go to to make sure witnesses shut up and retracted their statements before trial as well as (primarily) intimidation tactics using her ability of fear manifestation. judges who were in her clients pockets also swayed rulings in her favor and she was practically untouchable, until a certain judge was in charge of her case. that judge was the youngest in south korean history district court history, and it was kiha. he did not buy into her trying to get him to work in her favor (countless eyelash battings and attempts at flirting), he was by the book and very strict in regards to his moral code. his ability of hope manipulation also played a big role in determining his rulings, because he had a bullshit radar built in pretty much and oh boy, did it go off around jessamine. his views and perspectives ultimately swayed her own, and she realized she was no different than the monsters her family helped protect. both realizing they were demigods (because of the tattoo), they realized they had so much to bond over. love worked in funny ways, and they both did fall in love.

their relationship was as secretive as possible, in fear of getting trouble with higher ups for potential bias and special privileges on both parts. rumors began to swirl around, as they do, and the couple just decided to say screw it (in the nicest way possible, at least on kiha’s end) and it became a known secret of sorts that the lawyer and the judge were together. because jessamine provided help to powerful people, she turned on them and gained powerful enemies instead. they were freaking out considering everything she knew about them and were getting worried that she would out them. they were also worried that now she was against them, kiha would be able to protect her and rule in her favor aka against them and their ugly asses would be rotting in prison (as they should be!). so what did they do? plan to kill them both.

it didn’t take either of the couple to realize they were being watched, and they became more concerned once jessamine realized she was pregnant. being watched and followed eventually turned into outright stalking, and an incident when someone broke in while jessamine was home alone was enough for them to flee for their safety. despite kiha’s best efforts to remain hopeful, jessamine was aware who her enemies were and that they were unavoidable. money could make anyone do practically anything, and the safest place the parents knew they could be was back to nemean lion. with some of their trusted connections, jessamine gives birth secretly and safely, and leaves back to los angeles within weeks. despite all the risks, she had to make sure her son was safe. but, like mentioned before, money could make anyone do practically anything, and when the wrong people offer the right amount, her trusted allies betray her in a bat of an eye. it doesn’t take long for them to catch the next flight to california.

it was really out a scene of a fucked up movie, but both parents were spotted and literally hunted down on their way to nemean lion’s borders. jessamine and kiha both knew that this was the end, that they won’t be getting out of this alive. so, with the last amount of energy she has, jessamine hides a newborn judah (who, she named after her religious roots, and kiha used his father’s name for his middle name) in a shoddy little area hidden by leaves and branches. a few feet away, however, his parents were eventually brutally overkilled and left there. nemean lion attendants, who were rushed out after hearing the commotion, where completely shocked at the scene.  they saw something moving under a pile of leaves and were shocked to find a little baby, only some weeks old. they are able to verify the identities as former nl students and knew right away that someone had taken their lives, but could not bring themselves to ever tell jude this. so, it was covered up as a monster attack (because, even though people did this, in their eyes it was no different than what a monster would do) and jude was raised in nl since then. 

judah goes by jude, judah is specifically reserved for when he’s doing something he’s not. he was raised in nl his whole life and has been pretty much here since his parents passed away nearing the end of january 2001. because of that, he’s known as nl’s official baby! his parents were in their 30s during the time of their death and a proper funeral occurred at nl. jude pretty much knows nothing about the truth of the incident and the people who took care of him (i’d say nl’s infirmary, janitors, and in general older staff) prefer to keep it that way. it would just be too much for him and they don’t even know how to begin that conversation. jude feels a little weird about his parents. he loves and misses them, but he doesn’t know them at all so it’s a little ??? and most times he can feel a little indifferent. but that’s really because he doesn’t know how to really feel? he is primarily inspired from so mun (the uncanny counters), naruto uzumaki, fred jones, jake peralta, and jason mendoza. if i could sum his personality up in a single photo it would be this one. despite having abilities fit for a track, he is in the standard role cause he doesn’t wanna do all that <3 nor think <3 but, he does train and occasionally work with other tracks (notably hero) as a personal trainer since he’s a gym rat and buff as hell. he’s super chill, laidback, and rly just here for a good time! extremely chaotic in a good way and an official member of nl’s himbo (jimbos <3 the jimbros <3) line. chugs gallons of women respecting juice daily. you can hear someone screaming ‘JUDAAAAAH’ once a day 10/10 for sure cause he’s. yk. doing something he shouldn’t be? but he gives us that smiley face and everyone is like alright. understood. so he gets away with stuff p well. super into pbs nature docus and judges the fuck out of people who doesn’t hold doors for people (like what r u...some heathen freak?). does nl have a ghost hunting club? no? well jude just started one and goes on weekly adventures to catch some ghosts. zak bagans shits himself when jude shows up me thinks! he wants to leave nemean lion some day? just not sure when and like, how (and what is he going to do out there????) but so far he’s pretty fine with being here.

before it began with rosey, it all started with her mother. a first generation korean-american, josephyne yang showed exceptional potential in gymnastics after joining an after school team for fun. initially, her parents didn’t see a future for her with sports and the hefty cost of the sport was enough for them to decline further coaching. with push from several coaches, her parents started to take her role in the sport seriously, especially after watching her win first place in a county competition. leftover funds after paying the bills were saved carefully for future lessons, competitions, and trips. by the time she entered her mid teens, josephyne had solidified her position as a potential candidate for the 1988 olympic tryouts. at age 16, she had made a name for herself (think of her as dominique moceanu in the magnificent seven team). she went on to compete in more games for a total of 5 (years 88-98), winning gold in gymnastics each year as a member of team usa. in the middle of all this, she had began dating her coach (who was six times her senior) and had gotten engaged to him right after winning her third game. a year after her engagement, she begins an affair with her teams doctor. unbeknownst to her he was the god asclepius, who had decided to play mortal for a little while. the affair ended up lasting three years, resulting in a surprise pregnancy. she began to grow fearful of ruining her picture perfect life, especially when asclepius wanted to stick around for the birth of their child. instead, she leaves, without so much of a glance. she had fallen in love, and her heart was broken, but her pride would be far more wounded had her affair come to light. she threatens him to stay far away from her and her family, and aslcepius leaves his post a few weeks after failing to convince her to let him stick around.

rosey is born to an olympian on the verge of retiring and becomes the fake child of her mother’s almost husband. josephyne had been able to pass off rosey as being her fiance’s child, which resulted in a quicker marriage. they were able to live life as normally as josephyne could have wanted it. rosey looks too much like her and that’s enough for josephyne, enough for her to believe in her fantasy of a life that she created and play pretend. she retired a little before her daughter’s first birthday, and lived a less high profile life as before after moving to sydney, aus. rosey starts to learn figure skating in preschool, first for fun, but her parents were able to easily spot that with further training and fine tuning, she could be as big as her mother. rosey didn’t mind it much, she was too busy having fun to ever think extra lessons and more days of practice were considered work. her parents start off as her primary coaches, but she starts taking one on one lessons with several high profiled coaches as she grows up, many who were friends of her mother and father. all of a sudden like a shift in the air, her father turns completely cold towards her, and everything goes radio silent between the pair. the family move back to bel air some months after rosey’s 10th birthday.

just like her mother, she earned the youngest spot in team usa for figure skating in 2010. and just like her mother, she brought home gold. by the end, she had been ranked among other young athletes to be on the look out for and had become one of the most talked about new faces at the game. preparing for her next one, all free time rosey had went into rigorous practice, occasionally even being shipped across the globe by her parents to get seasonal lessons from former olympians. during the next game’s tryouts, a fellow potential candidate had begun to shine a little brighter than rosey. she was too consumed in being polished without a flaw in sight, in becoming something larger than life (but like, in an abstract way), and primarily in letting her lifelong hard work be diminished by someone less worthy in her eyes. so when the other girl suffers from an ankle injury after failing to land, rosey’s abilities first show. the look on roselind’s face was probably enough to kill the other girl, but instead she settles for slowing down and completely blocking the healing process of her injury. there’s a bright expression of glee on her features when the other girl has to be disqualified for being unable to complete the rest of the tryouts, and one even brighter than that when rosey’s name appears as a member of team usa once again. for the second time, she brought home a gold. after returning home, she’s on a high unlike ever before. but still, it wasn’t enough for her dad to look at her. rosey understands she’ll never be enough. 

her fall from grace starts in two parts, right after winning her last game. the first dive began after she found a pile of love letters between her mother and asclepius (from when her mother went abroad) and her actual birth certificate. after having a meltdown and passing out, rosey confronts her mother in full blown hysterics. she stops talking to both of them a few days after. secondly, she purposefully seeks out the gym owner’s son, with full intentions of getting her famed family kicked out. and it happened, when the owner found the pair in a ... compromising position, and publicly condemned and kicked out the kang’s. in private after, her mother and father both disowned her. asclepius had been popping his head in secretly here and there to keep an eye on his kid despite his former lover’s warnings (not him saying eat shit josephyne). he had taken great notice in the unhealthy environment for his daughter, and a year later, convinced her to leave to a place known as nemean lion. in truth, it didn’t take much convincing. she knew she could never come back to the life she had once known. rosey leaves them a letter as her final goodbye, letting them know she’s retiring from the sport and disappearing forever from them. josephyne and her husband announce resignation publicly and announced their daughter’s choice to live a private life. very quickly, they moved on with their own. she quietly says goodbye to a world she spent her entire life trying to get into and joins into the hero track initially at nl, before switching to the medical track and graduating from it. she currently works in the infirmary and notably is known for taking local calls.

you can call her rosey or lindy, she doesn’t care and won’t bite you, rosey is just the most common. she’s been at nemean lion since the summer of 2015. initially, she arrived and joined the hero track. it made the most sense given her previous accomplishments. during this time, rosey was kind of ... batshit as hell. ( someone: hey rosey do you rmr wh- rosey: click me. ) she was a big BIIIIG party girl, known for squeezing however the hell many people she could at her dorm and staying up till like 2 am on a week day like the menace she was. always had some shit to say. could never just shut the fuck up and not argue honestly. not to sound like bbc sherlock but SHE will try to outlive god in having the last word. also was having hot girl summer 24/7 and it was like a bingo game each week to see where rosey would get caught hooking up with someone this time! she just literally didn’t care and lived each day as a feral animal. and then she started to pay attention to the way the trees would sway and life started to be much more calm for her (aka the entirety of stoned at the nail salon). one day, it wasn’t as intense and she found comfort in the ease. so, without much of a fight, rosey hung up her old life and settled into a much simpler one. graduating from the medical track helped settling into her new life easier, too. she is a general loose mixture of spencer hastings, jane lane (but with daria morgendorffer’s mouth), and rory gilmore. she went from local it girl to wine aunt just like that, and literally carries a wine bag (you know the ones that looked like regular purses but its just a bag of wine....or the comb ones?) with her. she even has one tucked in a drawer in her work desk. never got out of the whole workaholic thing so she still doesn’t understand what a break is? she’s been working since she was like 3 tbh. works the graveyard shift primarily so if she’s not helping someone, she’s napping on an empty bed with the curtains shut, avoiding paperwork by playing harvest moon, or sipping from her purse in a bathroom stall. not laidback necessarily, but definitely too chill (like that meme of the dog in the room on fire kinda vibes). really big sleepy girl energy. low bullshit tolerance so she does bark and bite. takes biweekly pottery and painting (plus wine) courses off campus, and spends most of her time watering her plants or reading manga. eats a lot of tangerines when she’s stressed out. the walking embodiment of earth toned colors. has a pretty thick aus accent and uses sydney slang as if the people around her know wtf she means (unless....? johnnyhairtuck.gif <3). as much as she has grown to consider nl her first home (though she will never admit that), she does have plans to leave at some point??? she wants to move on and do full time work at the places she does local calls for or if she chooses to continue her education elsewhere, she’d join doctors without borders. in the mean time, she is just winging everything.

first known to the world as as rizalino rosario, he’s born to a small-time fisherman who operated a small crabbing company on the waters of cebu. his father was a demigod, the son of thanatos, who inherited his father’s ability of death inducement. it was mainly used to peacefully end the lives of the crabs and never towards another human being. his mother was the wife of a large conglomerate in england, who came to cebu to oversee some business investments while also having a girls trip. she was a daughter of an ares who used her ability of odikinesis to ruin rivaling companies business deals. they met by a stroke of luck, with him catering to a business party she was hosting. an affair that happened in the spur of the moment led to one and another during her stay, until she found out she was pregnant. instead, she finds an excuse to stay in the country longer.

it was not what she was quite expecting and definitely not what she wanted, content with her life back in england. so, after waiting the full nine months, she abandons him at the doorstep of her some night stand’s home a few days after giving birth. she leaves without so much as a second glance, back to her happy home. his father, on the other hand, has to work thrice as hard to provide for a newborn. the stress and long hours start to pile up on him, soon having no time for anything aside from work and taking care of rizalino, so after a few months of pushing through, he reaches a break point and leaves his son at an orphanage. he stays there until he’s a year old, and then he’s adopted by a family in milan, italy, and soon moves over across the globe. now, his name’s alessandro castellani.

his family is quite unusual than most and alessio, as he’s known as primarily, picks up on it as soon as he’s old enough to talk. things like being escorted in blacked out limos, having guards and tight security all around, family meetings he wasn’t allowed to be a part of, seeing shadows of some people that would be missing on the news. to the general public, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement, the castellani family was one of the longest reigning and powerful mafia family’s currently in italy. with roots in sicily, they moved upwards to milan after expanding their territories. they operated primarily in italy but had intel everywhere. it finally clicked when he’s seven and witnesses a murder in the family vineyards by accident. his abilities showed up early, by nine, and his family marvels at this godly child, one with powers that could benefit the castellani family. when alessio’s angry, others would feel it too. fights would start with weapons nearing until it abruptly ends as soon as alessio feels calm again. the ultimate one in their eyes was when the boy watched a traitor slowly, eyes concentrating and locked, before the other fell over as if it was nothing. he died peacefully, but he died nonetheless. without so much of a touch. this could be their secret weapon to everything.

to be a weapon means to have a sole purpose: to harm. to ensure alessio is only capable of this, they train him starting on his tenth birthday. they give him things he likes, small pets and little toys, only to kill or destroy them in front of him. anything that brought him a shred of joy or happiness was ripped away from his hands as a way to numb him out. and after a while, it started to work. they continued even after, only stopping when he started to fight back, as a way to promote his anger. any hesitance was quickly snuffed out with a cigar burn to the arm, over and over until he learned. it moves on to bigger operations, bringing him along to meetings, to scope out rivaling families, and looking into the recruitment process of new members. it was all as a way to get him comfortable with his real purpose in their eyes as a weapon. soon, at meetings, he’s informed beforehand to provoke fights from the other families towards their family as a way to justify a massacre against them in the future or causing a sudden death of a bystander in order to get terrorize others and get what they wanted from the main people they were after. all of it drained him exceptionally, as he was using extreme abilities on a consistent and constant basis. nonetheless, he’s trained in several forms of martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, alongside using weapons. he’s finally what they wanted, a stonecold weapon who operated on commands, and soon he’s taking orders on behalf of his father, the capo of the castellani family, and working alongside his brother. 

he’s 16 when he becomes a hitman for the family and ends up on the fbi wanted list. it’s a life he never expected to live but it was his nonetheless. most of his ‘work’ was done solo, in large part due to his abilities and when those didn’t work out, extreme measures were taken. by this time, heroes began gathering intel years prior about rumors of a boy with ‘powers’ that were working on behalf of a mafia family. they suspected it was a child with godly powers and began a years long operation in gathering intel to bring the family down. 

and it finally happened in the new year of 2021, while the world found out about the reality of the greek myths, the heroes had everything they needed to launch a plan. they did, carefully, and were able to catch his father in action. the capo, a handful of other high titled members, and several soldiers were arrested in the bust. then, in a corner of a large mansion, they found a boy. the boy. his powers were stable but as soon as the found out about the truth as to what was going on, felt too unsure about bringing him to nemean lion. if he had operated as a villain, they worried he was too far gone to be saved, and most decisions about what to do with him resulted in shipping him to this facility and that one. it’s until marina ren steps in, seeing some sort of exceptional light in alessio, a sense of understanding of his situation. she knew his family used him for his abilities as soon as they knew about, knew that none of it was by his command, knew he was just surviving in the only way he knew how. so, marina extends a personal offer to the boy to attend nemean lion, with a slight nudge towards the hero track. she sees something in him that no one else quite did and has high hopes that some day, hopefully on route to graduation, he’ll understand he doesn’t have to be what others expect of him and instead could be whatever he wants to be. 

thus, alessandro still goes by alessio. call him alessandro and risk getting a finger cut off a little (i don’t make the rules <3). he’s still pretty new at nemean lion since he enrolled in the early weeks on january 2021. but even if he gets lost, he’ll have the most deadpan and stoic face on his features because admitting loss means defeat or whatever. marina ren knew about the operation from the get go and became involved once the truth was revealed and his identity was confirmed, prompting him to enroll at nemean lion with a personal extension and gently pushing him to the hero track. he’s training in the hero track and alessio is EXTREMELY doubtful with this but since he’s just in the baby steps he’s sucking it up for now. a lot of that comes with a sense of knowing he’s not a good person who has done horrible things so he feels really hypocritical and even slightly guilty in wanting to be a part of the track. feels like he doesn’t deserve a spot in it and keeps that to himself. after the bust, the castellani family went into hiding. they are very much operating behind closed doors and in the darkest of shadows, and are currently looking for alessio, but super on the down low to avoid attention. his whereabouts were strictly off limits to all members after the heroes stepped in, so it’s just a game of ‘where’s waldo’ for them. nemean lion is the beginning to alessio’s journey of healing and a pivotal part as it plays his role of stability and the first sense of it in his entire life. waking up, going to classes, training, campus events ... all these mundane things are taking its time to sink in with alessio that this is his reality now, not waking up to fly to japan to take care of a hit anymore. it’s weird, kind of a welcome change, but one he’s (so far) rather uncomfortable with and a change he’s trying to fight against a bit (mentally and emotionally, at least). alessio is straight up a bootleg of vincenzo cassano and thomas shelby. he can be so stoic, so utterly expressionless and void and on the other hand he could be already walking up towards someone with balled fists for looking at him funny. he’s somewhere a bit between on most days. lately though, he’s getting a bit relaxed at nemean so he’s slightly more approachable and comes off as mr. grumpy instead. a part of him is a little .. scared? nervous? about getting close to other people since he believes he will scare them off if they knew the truth and also because he truly doesn’t think this ~chill life~ thing is gonna last forever. pretty immersed in doodling and spends a lot of time in nature just vibing. smokes and drinks a lot, high tolerance to both. enjoys a good nap, blue lemonade, and a good panini. super, duper, a total hardass on italian cuisine and WILL show his dissatisfaction if it’s not authentic enough. a lot of rumors and gossip about him. there’s just a lot going on that he has yet to disect and understand, but he will soon.

a family friend  — i know this is a bit of a reach but anyone whose family were allies with / worked with the castellani family and grew up / saw alessio a lot when they were younger :((

childhood friends  — he’s quite well travelled and spent some months here and there with his father and/or brother !!

first love  — as mentioned above, he’s quite well travelled and after 16, began taking trips for work alone . maybe a summer fling that was extended ? love at first sight ? it could have even been long distance for a bit. regardless, it ended pretty dramatically and sourly and probably had a lot to do with his work at the time. got a tattoo of their name that was covered up not long after.

an uwu to his >:(  — basically someone the total opposite personality wise to alessio ,,,, it somehow works out for u both and alessio would literally chokeslam someone 4 u but will never say it out loud .

sherlock holmes emoji  — alessio’s arrival and enrollment to nemean lion is pretty hush hush since it involved many people and dangerous situations, but ur muse is hellbent on getting the root to why and how he exactly was accepted into nemean lion considering ........ he’s him .
