Tips to Grow Your Organic Facebook Reach
With the continually evolution of the Facebook algorithm in which the relentless march to paid advertisement to ensure your posts are seen and your organic (unpaid posts) reach (actual posts seen on Facebook Walls) grows smaller. And then there is the small hurdle of when you actually use sponsored posts your organic reach further decreases. So while Facebook advertising is currently the best online value for money; organic reach is a cost effective necessity for any business. So with that in mind and to help out our fellow business community we have complied some simple tips to share with you and help you grow your organic reach. Â
Know your audience Facebook Insights are the major perk to having a Facebook business page. With Insights you are provided with data that is crucial to understanding your Facebook strategy, your audience, your content performance and simply when & where to engage online. One of the reasons we are in business is due to the simple fact that businesses neither have the time or skillset to use Facebook insights.
Facebook is not about selling it is about engagement One of the main reasons why Facebook is changing its algorithm is because more and more businesses are posting sales-driven content, as opposed to engaging content that will provide value to their audience. Facebook is trying to steer away from this model, as they want to make Facebook’s user experience more enjoyable. Therefore, if businesses are prompted to change their Facebook marketing strategy, there will be more valuable content given to their audiences.
Post your best content on Facebook for your Facebook audience Facebook wants people to see only the best content on their News Feed. But your online audience no longer is happy seeing that exact same post on all of their social platforms. Each platform has its own audience type so each post should cater to that audience. So post on Facebook your best Facebook content. Post of Twitter your best Twitter content share across both by all means but never more than a third. The other two thirds must be unique to said platform.
Ask for help and engage support for your Facebook page One of the simplest way to increase your Facebook organic reach is to get friends, family, co-workers and staff to engage with your Facebook page. The more engagement, likes, shares, clicks, your Facebook posts receive the more you can increase your Facebook organic reach. This is only a short term measure as Facebook and more importantly your Facebook audience will see the same support and initially it will reflect poorly on your brand especially if your engagement likes and shares are in the low numbers. However long term it will stand in your stead as it shows brand commitment to your business and most importantly loyalty which will cause more to follow suit :-)
Don’t be rude - respond If you want to receive engagement on your Facebook Page, you need to engage with your audience. If you receive a comment, reply to that comment; if you receive a post on your business Page, reply back to that post. If someone has taken to the time to respond to you the least you can do is acknowledge it!
