The next time N saw the man, he had been exiting the Eden district, a list in hand of things Pascal wanted him to trade for in the markets. N was pretty sure he had seen the synth before the synth saw him, especially considering the way he was skulking about. What was he up to...?
anonymous asked: shiro is visiting a country he doesn't know the language well and accidentally asks allura out on a date and the happy local she is she takes him out to enjoy the city. this is so cute!!!! give it to me!!! i also posted this on ao3.
His crew members insist that they visit Altea at the very next opportunity they receive for purely selfish reasons. Shiro doesn't understand the novelty of it right away, even when his engineer points out the three main attractions: their abnormal beaches, the unpredictable weather, and the galaxy's most gorgeous women. Stories of his last visit to Altea are all that Shiro has to go on when they arrive, though in hindsight, he can understand why.
Allura is certainly the type of beautiful that would make men want to tell stories about her. She's in the middle of telling him about the last time she visited Earth with her father, a man of some prominence here on Altea, but the title she calls him is lost on Shiro. The story is lost on him, too. He follows her only by the lights in her eyes and the way she smiles, full of warmth as she recalls the details.

The next time Garrus would check in on N at 'work', he would find the eika tapping at his initial as he checked over one of the traps. "Your order came in. It works wonderfully." He motioned eagerly to the box shaped trap, as well as the little creatures inside. "They're a little spooked but no one's hurt."

ā... maybe I ought to get a job...ā After all, he wasnāt under Ark Secās protection anymore. ā... but whoād hire an eika...?ā
@mantis-scope
Eika rarely wandered too far from their āHabitatā aboard the ark, but these past few days, N could think of nothing but putting as much distance between him and that damn room. Running even deeper among the people he was taught would despise him most only made him more nervous. Not after what he was taught... not after that night where he proved that wretched man right.
With a groan, N hiked the scarf he had found up further, doing his best to hide the wraps around his throat as he reached for the first-aid kit he had managed to find. Not many were at his height, and despite most of the non-eika he had seen not bothering to look down, he still felt like everyoneās eyes were on him as he grabbed the roll of gauze from the box, snagging a few sterilizing wipes or good measure. All his brain could scream was how suspicious he had to have looked, a thought brought on by his own paranoia.
Banging the metal box shut just a little too hard, he dashed off again, nearly running into what looked like a giant metallic bug. N could swear they made eye contact for the split-est of seconds, and it only prompted him to turn tail and flee.
He had to wander out sometime. It was inevitable, with how he was starting to run out of food and just the same for walls clawing at unpleasant memories. The very idea of stepping out the door made him anxious for more reasons than one, but yet N found himself in the market district, a white-knuckled grip on his payment card and his ears swiveling to any and every sound around him.
