As part of some initiative to bring art to the streets of the tourist district in LaJolla, some works are mounted on trash receptacles. Many planter boxes outside businesses have been neglected--saving water due to drought? Who knows? But this painting by Mariko Irie has suffered some indignations not brought about by lack of water...
