Reading The Artists Way by Julia Cameron made me incredibly unsympathetic as an artist lol

She pointed out somewhere in there that every dumb pointless critique that doesn’t provide valuable feedback for the artist is just a blocked artist… to paraphrase horribly… being a bitch. They’re blocked and won’t admit it, sometimes won’t even admit they’re an artist, so they’re miserable and misery loves company. I’m not fostering that shit.
