About my logo and my social media presence-please reblog!
I created this logo with the help of @thenoninarywarrior. There is a lot of symbolism in it that is explained below.
The Triskelion represents personal growth and development, something I actively encourage my followers to pursue. In each arm of the Triskelion is a symbol associated with a Goddess from the Greek pantheon that resembles each stage of a Woman’s life. I chose the Greek pantheon because of my Greek heritage, but you can also place symbols for goddesses that rule over the same or similar areas if you so wish-just keep the positioning the same.
The deer represents Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, the Wilderness, and the Moon. She is the Patron and Protector of young Girls. In this stage of our lives we are children and thus usually our role is to learn and to be protected. We learn how to protect others from experiencing this role.
The cornucopia represents Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest, Fertility, and Growth. She is the Mother Goddess. In this stage of our lives we function as teachers and as students; teaching those younger than us (especially our children) and learning from those older or more knowledgeable than us (especially our mothers). We teach and protect as well as learn and be protected.
The owl represents Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, Warfare, and Handicrafts. when we are children and students. She is the Warrior Goddess. She represents the final stage of our lives, when our role is usually to teach and protect. It is our responsibility to teach what we have learned over our lives so that our abilities and knowledge can be inherited and taught in turn.
They are positioned so that you start in the lower left spiral and move to the right and up to the top spiral, and back down again. This is to symbolize growing up and improving upon your own previous self, as well as symbolizing how this process is an endless cycle as we learn and age and discover new areas for improvement, in Martial Arts, in fitness, and in life.
I will be using this new logo across my social media accounts, listed below:
