do you think someone ever swung an axe at another person's neck with the intent to just nick and scare them a little bit gawain and the green knight style but miscalculated the blow, aiming a little below where they intended? where do you even go from there. In some situations where you're staging an entire fake beheading i guess everyone else would just go along with it. "Congrats milord you slew the traitor." "Aaaaaa!!!!--- uhhh thank you." and then you'd just have to move on with your day like it was fine and normal and you absolutely actually planned to do this. Or admit your aim is really bad. But that would be awkward. It's not like you can just reattach a head. Not unless you're the Green Knight. And then probably only your own, which is pretty useless when you just accidentally removed someone else's. Anyway I feel like given what we know about historical arthuriana roleplay something like this has to have happened at least once. Swinging axe that precisely is harder than it looks. this is why you probably shouldn't involve real weapons in larping. you can't reattach a head.
