How did we get here? • It is a question that has challenged scientists, philosophers, biologists, theologists, palaeontologists and of course, yogis. In the yoga tradition, it is believed that everything started with one sound and that sound is #Om. Everything we see today, the sky, mountains, the sea, the sand and all forms of life, came from that sound. And that sound carries all the energy and vibration that have created everything we see today. • @insideyoga and I recently had an interesting discussion at #thailandyogafestival about energy - by quoting the laws of #thermodynamics - that energy cannot be created nor can it be destroyed - it can only be transferred. From electricity to kinetic, from light to heat, etc. If you believe that emotions are a form of subtle energy, then as yoga teachers we are constantly transferring energy, or #prana, as yogis would call it. • I had the honour and opportunity to perform with the senior #insideflow team @ym_monika @yk_lucia @yk_lucia @irinayoga_ in the last few days. This newer style of yoga that teaches you how to feel, through the power of music (sound energy) - with the right intention, it will bring the very depths of your feelings. It makes me think again. Why do I teach yoga? • In my #mentorshipworkshop, I keep telling my new teachers that, at the end of the day, no one remembers how well you can teach their students #downdog, #handstand or #headstand, but they will always remember how they feel after successfully doing a handstand for example - the transformation and empowerment you as a teacher can offer. I think it’s the same thing with #insideflow.
