#insert coin(s)

Now the only reason I go to Insert Coin(s) is simple. I don't really like to gamble and if I'm going to throw my money away I would like to do it in an enjoyable fashion. Playing old arcade video games with my quarters. I don't go for the music since they play the stuff that you can hear anywhere. I don't go for the drinks even though they do know how to mix them.

So the last time I was in Insert Coin(s) was actually pretty dead from the previous time I had gone. There was the usual guys who brought their dates who left because they just aren't into games, so the guy usually make the choice to either stay or leave. There are the drinkers at the bar, you know the type they come in with a group of friends get in a conversation at the bar and tend to stay there drinking away. Then there's me. The gamer the type of person that only comes to this establishment to play video games. Sure I might have a drink or two but I find an arcade cabinet and play until I loose before maybe moving on. My eyes get wide every time I enter Insert Coin(s) with a rush of happiness that only that place can give me. 

So I chose my arcade cabinet while Evil B, his brother and their dad sat at the bar. I was focused upon Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike (1999). This is one of several I enjoy spending my time and quarters at after breaking a dollar bill at the change station.

So I was playing Street Fighter winning mind you when some guy is suddenly to my left watching me. I ignore him thinking for a second that is was my Brother in-law, but only for a second. Some random guy from the bar had come up and started talking to me while watching me play this video game. Evil B knows the one rule about fighting games and I, you don't fuck with me while I'm playing them.  Short answers to questions I could care less about when I play where I can't pause. When at home it's fine because you can pause the game but on an arcade system you can't.

So this guy starts to talk to me and I am trying my best to make him go away. He starts with how his friends and he are drinking and noticed me playing a game. He came over because I was "kicking ass". The truth of it is I was the only chick in there along with the fact that I came in with three guys who are all having drinks at the bar while I am playing video games.

So he offers to buy me a drink and at this point I notice he is closer than I first thought that or he moved a little. I have a rule of never accepting a drink from a guy, period. I don't care if he pays for it and gets it sent over. I don't care if he pays for it and the bartender hands it to me directly, I don't accept drinks from strange guys in bars.

So I play the I'm only here to game card and his response to that was "obviously". So then he plays the what if I buy you a soda trick again I say no. By this time he has been over talking to me for several minutes distracting me from my game. A fighting game.. the cool things about this place is because it is sorta small, the games are in plenty view of the door guys and bouncers along with the fact that Evil B is at the bar right behind me.

The guy then plays the whole I'll pay for it and have it sent over and never speak to you again trick to which I say " I have a husband to buy me drinks if I so desire." He then plays a card I have never heard of! He offered to buy my husband a drink!! To which I replied that he would have to ask him, himself. So by this time I'm annoyed because I've had started to lose round two, thus I yell Evil B's name calling him over. He casually comes over to see what the deal is, so all I say is " This guys wants to buy you a drink." Thus forcing this guy into an awkward situation to which he is like what are you drinking? By this time I'm annoyed because I've gone into round three because this guy wouldn't leave me alone.

Evil B and his brother finally get the guy to go away so I can finish up my game. Evil B never got his drink but I know he always has my back.

His brother was rather concerned with why Evil B didn't go over to me when the random guy appeared, to which he replied " I know she can handle herself more than I can. Plus the only reason I went over was so she wouldn't hit him." Apparently I sounded rather annoyed and when I called his name he knew the other guys fun was over. He then called me his Princess in distress. 

That was my greatest adventure while I was on Vacation. Making a drunk random guy leave me alone so I could play video games.
