Sgksmgasmdhmhdd. Iāve been reading your aus for a while now, but THIS ONE I CANāT. So. Giorno actually being part stand and undead, he immediately knows whatās happened to Bucciarati when he ārevivesā him and already knows that heās already dead even before Bucciarati himself does. And just the wonderful conflicted feelings with not being able to properly save him. Like why couldnāt Bucciarati become like him?? Or. On the other hand, if Bucciarati DOES fuse with Sticky fingers ššš
However, may I also raise a slightly different alternative:
what if as an impulsive decision on Giornoās part, he tried doing the same thing heād done with himself. He saw Bucciarati dying and panicked, not wanting to loose one of the only people who cared for him and fused him with Sticky Finger in order to save his life
But because no one actually knew Gio was dead at that point, Bucciarati didnāt know that what Giorno had done was intentional or even possible and ends up hiding it and sort of possessing his own corpse like he does in canon. Maybe he uses Sticky Fingerās zipper ability to make it work, idk
This way Giorno still gets to feel conflicted about the whole thing because āwhy could I save him and not myself???ā but probably wouldnāt linger on it for too long because heās not unhappy with this result, mostly just. Confused.
and to add more, there could also be Gio and Bucciarati slowly piecing things together, especially after Giornoās reveal during the Notorious B.I.G. fight. At that point, Bucciarati might suspect whatās actually going on, leading to a bit of role reversal with him being the one to confront Giorno about it when theyāre driving to Rome to meet up with Polnareff
