Excited to present “Self-organisation”, first retrospective of #Japanese textile designer #JunichiArai in Hong Kong as part of @mill6chat #Winter programmes. Hailed as “Prodigy of Japanese fabric world”, Arai collaborated with renowned fashion designers including #isseymiyake and #reikawakubo in the 70s and 80s and introduced a wide range of new types of materials into fashion world, including metallic textiles, press wrinkle (pleats), shrunken wool, transfer printing and digital jacquard textiles.
