Ink: Jacaranda
Words: John Mclane, Christmas Eve party, Nakatomi Plaza, honestly you had to be there (I was 17 and on work placement on the 28th floor). Made with this fabulously eighties purple, a pump spray, square brushes and some scissors. I even put my hair in a mildly backcombed quiff to do it.

Day 2 of Inkvent. I'll be doing swatches with ink by Diamine for the second year in a row. Today's ink: Cashmere Rose. A standard formula and I. Am. In. Love. β€οΈ I always love interesting red inks and this slightly neutralized reddish purple is π€© I need to empty a fountain pen ASAP for this one.

Inkvent Day 3β¨
Ink: Early Dusk
Woke up early to see a dusting of snow and thought of this line by @idlesband from their track βIβm Scumβ (Joy As An Act Of Resistance, 2018). I love it; heβs on about a different type of snowflake of course and itβs only four words but meaty βοΈ
Iβd be happy to be compared to a beautiful, unique six-legged frozen droplet; in our millions we make snowballs and block roads βπΌ
See how the ink dissolves willingly into almost infinite shades of blue, pink and turquoise, but can be made to disappear completely from the page.
Day 16 of Inkvent. Today's ink: Merry and Bright. Shimmer formula. A vibrant green with golden shimmer. This feels like Christmas in a bottle, a very true and bright green. Not sure if I would reach for this one for regular writing but it fits the season well.

Day 15 of Inkvent. Today's ink: Walnut. Standard formula. Not a lot to say other than it is brown. Kind of wish it was a little more dynamic. Seems like it took awhile to fully dry too. It looks like there is a wet spot in the photos but it dried shiny where I put more ink down.

Day 7 of Inkvent. Today's ink: Sweet Dreams. Scented formula. I remember the scented formulas feathering a lot last year and this one is no different. The scent is also... not great. I expected cotton candy but it's more red or pink candy of unknown flavor? They can't all be wins. Didn't feather on the Clairefontaine Triomphe if you're really into this color. Maybe best with a really extra fine nib? π«€

Day 4 of Inkvent. Today's ink: Masquerade. Shimmer formula. This is a very unique color I find hard to describe. The shimmers are golden and the ink itself is sort of purple/brown. Or maybe just a really desaturated red or burgundy color... I like unique colors but this one is just hard to classify. Do you like it?

Day 25 of Inkvent. Today's ink: Raise A Glass. Chameleon and sheen formula. A deep purple ink with gold/green shimmer. Happy holidays to everyone! I will be taking a few days off until the new year. I hope you had fun looking at all of this year's inks!
