Cleaned the Anderillium Rosy Maple Moth Pink out of my TWSBI Eco. Gotta let it dry, but I can't decide what to ink it with next. I definitely wanna go with something that looks good out of a wet stub. Maybe my sample of Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-Budo or Diamine Ancient Copper.
writing in blue
Two of my faves
Swatches in my Midori MD notebook of two of my absolute favorite inks: Anderillium Luna Moth Green and Diamine Ancient Copper.
LMG is such a faerie green to me. It is pretty light and dry and really benefits from a broader, wetter nib. I bought my first eco with a stub specifically for this ink. I blind-purchased a bottle.
Diamine Ancient Copper is well-loved by many for good reason. I love the way it shades in writing, thought it doesn't really show on this example. I'm using up a sample of it right now, but I definitely want a bottle in the future.
okay someone asked so now I get to yap about fountain pen ink yayyayayay
1. diamine Dragon Blood
its basically oxblood with gold shimmer added. incredible. sometimes you lay it down and as soon as it dries its just GOLD with a hint of redness. shiny as hell. amazing.
sometimes its too well mixed (or maybe not mixed enough??) and its all redbrown with flecks of gold. Just awesome. I finally get to use it at work now that I have one (1) pen with a medium nib (dip pen too messy for work no thanks)
2. diamine Autumn Oak
looks like fresh blood on the page. amazing at any thickness of line. feels like im signing life contracts 100% of the time
I bought a tiny bottle first and then ended up getting a big one too because I love it so much. thank fuck this was not one of the limited colors.
when it thins out a lot (or running super low in the pen) its a hot yellow. ugh I could use this ink forever literally
3. assorted Scrivi inks
ok these are weird. they dont behave well on my nice Midori paper (which is very sad, I love my midori paper and my diamine work great on it). the green is too blue for my taste but would be ok with other cool tones probably. I thought there was a sepia in there but there isn't? also they are international style cartridges so I have to fill my pilot pens with a syringe after cutting off the top. lmao. not a problem with literally any other cartridge pens obviously
that said the hot pink is a great colour and I really wish it wouldn't feather. it looks amazing next to the next one...
4. diamine purple dream
I got this one in the 50th anniversary cake slice bottle, which is adorable. its a rich dark purple that looks almost black in a fine line (and I LOVE my extra fine nibs) but if you write quickly it also shades nicely. a drop of water added also helps with the shading. just gorgeous and loads of fun next to a hot pink.
5. diamine cherry sunburst
from the guitar colors line, which is fun. all named for well known guitar finishes. purchased at the same time as the small bottle of autumn oak and the dragon blood- my first foray into fountain pen inks. this one looks a lot like dried blood and is therefore quite fun to use next to the autumn oak.
6. diamine emerald green
now HERE is a green i enjoy. its a warm tone (and therefore not strictly emerald colored which is ironic) and feels rather leafy as a result. not dark enough to read as black, very fun to look at. got this in a big bottle because I knew id like it.
7. pilot iroshikuzu take-sumi
very deep black. hard to dilute to the point where you'd notice, so it goes really far if you want it to. writes beautifully, definitely no shading lol
I am planning to get more. I also want to swatch these just for fun and if yall wanna see them lmk

Still alive, a little WIP of a card I'm making for a friend
diamine - alexandrite
color: saturated dark teal blue with magenta sheen.
properties: can stain some items (such as your dip pen). no shading, no shimmer, a decent amount of sheen.
water-resistance: not at all.
this is the first Actually sheening ink i bought, and i didn't even know it has sheen until it got home. i tried my best capturing it in the second image.
i love drawing with it (and looking at it mesmerized like how a baby watches cocomelon), but i only use a dip pen with it since it stains so much! i have to be careful using this near my things.
diamine - china blue
color: cool-toned blue with a slight hint of violet. a little pink sheen.
properties: medium shading. wet flow, no sheen nor shimmer.
water-resistance: unfortunately, nope.
I LOVE THIS INK! i enjoy quite a lot of inks with cool tones, and this one is the epitome of cool-toned. i love using it with my broad nib fountain pen with this!
i don't really see the pink sheen when i draw with this with any kind of pen ever, but when swatching the ink, it appears, and i find that really cool.
