It took Infinite days to wake up & weeks to get back his motor skills. He was a prisoner in his own body & with nothing left to do, Infinite had a lot of time to self reflect. Gadget was a constant, treating every sign of improvement as a celebration.

Okami x Infidget! Allow me to type the story in this AU, and it is, of course, based on Okami!

Long time ago, there’s a village with beauty and prosperity beyond compare. But… It is not without its own dark secret. An 8-headed serpent beast threatens them, only to retaliate when a young maiden is offered in the annual feast. This continued, year after year, not until a warrior tried to slay the beast to end its charade.

The warrior, although very strong, is no match to the beast. He’s about to take one last attack when a jackal jumped in and helped him. The jackal, with jet-black fur with white stripes in its body and tail and a power that a mere mortal cannot explain, fought side by side with the warrior.

They succeeded in sealing the vicious beast. However… the jackal, poisoned by the serpent’s fangs, perished. The village then made a shrine for him in order to honor his valiant effort to save the village.

100 years later… a mortal tried to unseal the beast, thinking it was all a mere myth. The village was once again clouded in darkness in result, and the best now even more powerful.

A goddess placed her hope in the jackal, lending him the last of her power and reviving him.  In his awakening, his fur turned pristine white with red markings, symbol of being a powerful deity.

A mortal witnessed his awakening as well: A young and tiny wolf who claims he is an artist. Upon recognizing the jackal in the legend, he happily tagged along, thus the start of their journey to paint the world with colors and life once more, returning it to its peaceful state.
