Spiderman: Far From Home Theory
I haven’t seen FFH yet but I AM one of those people who reads spoilers so; yeah, I read the movie plot already. And I’ve been thinking, at the end Spiderman’s identity is revealed and framed for Mysterio’s death but you also gotta remember that Peter is still only a high schooler.
So, what if, everyone is like “OMG Spiderman is this Peter Parker kid!” and news stations swarm Midtown and interview the students and teachers....
And everyone just collectively decides to deny Peter being Spiderman. They make up alibis for Peter and tell stories about where he was when Spiderman shows up. The entire Declathon team has Peter’s back, alibis and all at the ready.
And, and, the thing is the stories start to overlap.
“Can you help to confirm that Peter Parker is Spiderman?”
“What? Parker? No way, I saw him at this party last Saturday when Spiderman was taking down those robbers.”
“Huh? You got it wrong man, Parker was helping me study for our next chemistry exam last Saturday. No way he was at that party. And DEFINITELY no way he coulda stopped those robbers too; he’s such a little guy!”
“No, no, you guys have it wrong, Pete’s my best friend! I would know if he was Spiderman; spent last Saturday building my new 3000 piece Star Wars LEGOs”
“Psh, Parker? No way, he’s a loser and we had a declathon study session last Saturday.”
It just goes on and on and eventually, the news annoy Aunt May so much that she ends up responding to this one particularly annoying reporter.
“Peter? Spiderman? You wanna know how I know? I threw a banana at him! It hit him in the face! In the FACE! AND he saw me throw it at him too! You really think my nephew is Spiderman when he can’t even catch a banana? Ha, you’re crazy! NOW LEAVE US ALONE!”
In the end everyone just concludes that Mysterio is a HUGE jerk for trying to frame this poor high schooler as Spiderman ‘cause obviously this kid ain’t him and if he’s wrong about this kid then is he even really dead?
